A Facebook User by the name of 'Vivian Bassey' uploaded these photos showing the deep, open wounds on the back of a little girl, Esther Okon Okorodi, who is the house-help of one of her pregnant neighbors with this message:

No matter what your situation may turn out to be, don't give your child out. Because most people are agent of Lucifer. This is what a pregnant neighbor of mine did to her house help this evening.. What pains me most is that the 10yrs old girl is very hard working, she dose everything that a woman can do.. The matter is in the hands of the authority, I pray they will handle it well. Lord please save us all." - (some words have been edited)

An update from Vivian's page shows photos of little Esther on a hospital bed, receiving treatment at Sifon Clinic Limited, Uyo. Newer photos have been uploaded showing signs of healing on Esther's back and a very pretty, smiling child who is currently temporarily accommodated by Vivian Bassey.

Vivian is asking for information to trace the mother of this little angel. Read her appeal below:

The 10yrs beautiful little girl Esther Okon Orokodi, who was beaten brutally by her mistress has been discharge today from SIFION CLINIC LTD. She's so happy knowing that she is going to stay with me till the police find her mother to come take her. All thanks to God.

EDITOR'S NOTE: May God bless Vivian Bassey .We can take a cue from this story. CHILD ABUSE IS ABOMINABLE!. Do not turn a blind eye, refuse to speak up, fold your hands and do nothing when you see children being abused. Report the perpetrator to the police or your nearest NAPTIP office (If you live in Nigeria).

Adequate disciplinary actions should be taken against this acts by the law to efficiently curb it. This is psycologically disturbing to this kid. Really bad.
