The activities of illegal miners in Imo State have hit the rock sequel to the swift intervention of Officers and Men of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Imo State Command.
The State Commandant, Mr. Pedro Awili Ideba, who led the operation recently in the company of the Head of Solid Mineral Unit, Asst.Commandat Chukwuka Eric and other Officers and Men of the corps clamp down the operation of these illegal miners as three (3) suspects were arrested at Njaba sand Excavating Beach.
Mr Pedro in his speech during a press briefing showed the Commands readiness to fight against illegality, crime and criminality, hence gave a note of warning to these illegal miners to desist from illegality or rather face the wrath of law.

Miners are advised to register there company with ministry of solid mines before they operate. They are advised to resist acts of illegality and criminality
