It's not about fake Johnson's products, it's about how harsh Johnson's can be in quite a lot of babies' skins. I had issues, my nephew's had issues and I know people who has issues with Johnson's baby wash. We all bought ours from different sources in the U.S. and in the U.K. as in, we were physically present abroad buying them and still got rashes. Even my paeditrician abroad told me not to use Johnson's because it can be quite harsh in some babies' skins. Even amongst mothers abroad, the rashes are a common complaint. But it's the cheapest baby product on the market and since they do have quite a strong lobbyist presence with most U.S. govt bodies, they will sort themselves out. Some doctors in Nigeria are now echoing that sentiment too that parents should avoid Johnson's products. As per cancer, I don't know. Personally I won't put any talc-based powder or powder of any sort near my privates or anyone else's (leave the good bacteria there to do its job smiley )

I'd be more worried about random Chinese product imported with no safety testing into the Nigerian market. And make a note not to use any talc powders (unless absolutely necessary) because of respiratory issues.

I think Johnson's products is all time best product for kids and babies but some people selling fake johnson's products on the market to damage there brand name. So, beware of fake johnson's products.

@onegai, I get your point, my daughter do not have sensitive skin I have used different products at different times and we had no issues with any.
Pls Talc has not being proven to cause Ovarian cancer but it is good to be cautious. Then powder is not to be used in the private of newborn, I use jelly.

Hello, your son may be lactose intolerant. Continuing to give him cows milk may not build his tolerance and just give him more digestive issues.

Look around and see if you can get lactose free versions of cow milk although not sure of that if you are in naija.

Goats milk may also be an alternative. It is healthier and easier to digest, so perhaps his reaction to it may be reduced.

Alternatively you can try other milks from plant sources, almond milk, rice milk, coconut milk or soya milk.

I would guess soya milk will be your most available and cost friendly option.

Goodluck!

@lcoral, i don't think uou should be worried but if you are massage his/her tummy with your hands, then my mum use to put robb in my baby's bumbum, though I don't like this aspect but it works.
@happymama,don't use it again, read the instruction in the milk some milk say after 2 hrs discard.
@amakamax, I don't think people who undergo CS use to tie their tummy it will go down. I did CS and I did not tie it is gradually going down

You can give him some warm water and a few teaspoons of fresh orange juice. It worked for my sons when they were babies!

You can also gently stick a cotton bud coated with Vaseline into the anus. But very gently just to stimulate the poo to come out.

My baby can not tolerate milk also, he can't tolerate lactose free milk too as in no matter what we try, yougurt o, anything dairy. He is 9 months and I am still breastfeeding him, I am thinking of what to do already when he turn 1, cos Milo, Bournvita and horlicks all contain milk as a major ingredient.
