Being broke in school is far better than being broke after graduation. I remember a graduate friend of mine was so broke that he cannot afford to pay for his hair cut. Sometimes when you look back your poor stage in life you will never cease to thank Almighty God

OP i swear you no broke or either yours no reach mine. that awkward moment when you have to make eba and mix the seasoning inside indomie wey my neighbor throway inside water plus ground pepper to eat my eba simply because I can't afford #5. abi na when I have to soak little garri inside water and leave it for about 10mins to swell up na hin make i talk? I can go on and on but i thank God because am finishing strong...my days are numbered in unilorin #final exam and convocation loading #

Op, nice story you got there. Student gets broke during the sojourn through school days but I think yours compared to what someone like myself and some others who's gone through university suffered is quite a bit soft. In my case I had nothing like allowance yet you had that but it wasn't enough for you probably because you spent it unwisely. I have no parents and the only support I seldom got was from my elder brothers. That support was so inconsistent to the point that all through my final year in school, I got just 20k once in first semester from them. With all the project expenses, God just saw me through anyhow. I lost count of the number of times I stayed without meal for a full day and tried my best to read; for those that has tried that, you know the sort of torture that is. Thank God yours didn't affect your studies but mine sure did as i got out with a 2.2. I thank God all the same.

Talking 'bout been broke; be thankful bro, yours is like living as a king to me. Currently a college student *a distinction student, best in department to be precise*. Spent two weeks without food, collected credits, begd for food to d extent dat.....just being thankful tho.. I knw all will b a story to tell @ d end. Currently in a building construction work(lobourer) to pay my final exams fee. All i wish is that i'm from a wealthy family. Lord hear my cry just for once.

Hmm.. Back then in my undergraduate days. i suffer nor b small oooo. sotey i con turn huzzler join academics. altho it has a way of affecting G.P but i thank God for where i am @ d moment and where i will soon be.

I was also in that position, still presently there but not as intense as when i was a freshman. Got admission, no money for accommodation or food just acceptance fee and tuition fee. God used somebody i new through a friend to shelter and feed me. (i always pray for him not to lack). After the guy graduated, he left the room for the other freshman i met with him because i resumed late. i was so lacking and dependent on this guy that he decided not to form partnership with poverty and left the room for me. See my life! I thank God that despite these financial challenges it did not affect my academic performance too much. Though not fully financially independent because my allowance from home is just too small to sustain my needs however i still thank God for the kind of friends i choosed, because they are very understanding and supportive. All these will one-day become history.

Ok, Just before you get so relaxed, the days ahead are going to be worse.

my own was during 100 second semester exam ,that time I will slice cut EBA into pieces and I will eat 5 in the morning and like 10 around 4pm and I will go and sleep ,life sha

Am kinda broke anyway, food really ain't an issue on my side, but I need excess funds to meet up some basic things, God go help us sha.
