Welcome n have a short and fruitful stay here in Jesus name, Amen.

Fvine:

Thanks Sis. You're right about Myo-Inositol / Inositol. I do have a vitamin combo containing Inositol although am currently off it. But I do know that it works for PCOS. I've even done a ref on it here in the past. As for clomid, I discussed the downsides with my Dr but he explained that it can be combined with other drugs to counteract the effects. My Clomid protocol comes with Dexa which if you read up online is a great combo for clomid. So also is M2tone, Vit B6 which helps in increasing CM, building progesterone, lengthen luteal phase which will make for a great lining. He also explained to me that Clomid still works with lots of success stories in the world & in his hospital otherwise it would've been phased out completely. I've also bought Preseed lubricant for CM all thanks to @ Redeemed. Clomid is usually the first Ovulation induction most Drs give at the first instance and then progress to try out Letrozole and others plus injectibles where these fails. The plan/protocol is small, effective and inexpensive before progressing to big, effective and expensive if needed

Cysts usually occur with Clomid but are mostly tiny functional cyst that will disappear on their own. Although some women do get over stimulated and get big painful cysts. My prayer is that it works well to help me get my bfp at first try. Sorry for your negative experience with Clomid. Praying you get your Bfp soon

@ Fvine, Your Dr is so right on point. Clomid worked well for me when used with B6 and for the dryness down there, just use pressed. You may feel intense pain in ur midcycle but bd please. May God reward you with a bfp.

I don't think with ULCER this is going to be an option for you because of the ginger's Peppery/hot effect. You may need to talk to your doctor first before giving it a try,in order not to cause more harm than good.Other mamas can clarify on this

Not exactly the answer to your question but @ Mamakendra had a hysteroscopy in a hospital in PH and made the post on it on the ivf thread. I have copied her post and will paste below.

" @ gynescope, hysteroscopy is 95k, but you will have to run an infection test-15k,
Fasting blood sugar -3k, scan-6k, =119k."

I just thought this might help you somewhat, I don't know.

Fvine:

My Dear with the recent discussions on Vit B6, I decided to ask my Dr yester night to interpret my prescription for me again. once he responds, I'll share here. But meanwhile, I've decided to post my prescription sheet for any medical personnel in the house to help us interpret, hopefully the ban hammer doesn't land on me for this. On the drug itself, what I have is 50mg 2tablets, 2x daily. This means 200mg per day, the recommended highest safe level which one shouldn't exceed. But bear in mind that I have PCOS, will be on Ovulation induction drugs and the Vit B6 is being used as a Progesterone Support and not just to lengthen my luteal phase.

My conclusion is that Vit B6 is used in different doses for different things. 50mg - 60mg daily have been known to work very well in lengthening Luteal Phase especially for women who have a luteal phase defect whereas a higher dose could be used for progesterone support instead using Progesterone drugs itself like the Progesterone Injections, Suppositories etc mostly used during Artificial Reproduction Techniques like IUI, IVF and also for progesterone supplementation in early pregnancy and first trimester for pregnant women who have low progesterone. Vit B6 is safe all through the cycle and is also known to help improve Cervical Mucus Production and quality which I think might have also been another reason I got it to help counteract the Clomid effect. Vit B6 is als a stress reliever and helps with PMS.

Lol at Baba go slow. Actually he's not, usually it's best to start small and gradually increase with high monitoring, at least that's what my Dr explained. Although he said one can still start out high depending on the circumstance but that proper monitoring is needed. My Metformin is continuous because I have PCOS. I've been. He said the drugs are from the 2nd day of my cycle and will terminate mid cycle or few days to AF. He confirmed that Vit B6 is safe throughout the cycle. He reduced my Clomid to 100mg per day and not 200mg.

He's in the US and will be back by weekend so we were only able to speak briefly. 9ja network no permit clear conversation. You can stop your Vit B6 the day you take the last drug your Dr prescribed.

@ CovenanBabies. All you said na true talk but you seem like a very funny person, me likey. Dont worry you'll het your bfp soon and will have no need for another Dr. I was able to speak with my Dr briefly as he's out of the country on a conference and the line wasn't too good. He says I should cut the clomid down to 100mg per day. All the drugs are supposed to be for the follicular phase till they finish. I just pray I get my bfp this coming cycle. I don tire for all them drugs and ttc. All I want to do is to have fun with my husband without taking any pills. I have no choice now so will just have fun and swallow the pills accordingly.

Laziness and sleep no free me quote and give detailead response as usual but am sure you got my drift.

@ Fvine, thank God you've been able to talk to your doctor for clarification. Seriously praying you get your bfp. As You have contributed selflessly without pride or so much ego to help other mamas. So will God speedily help and grant your wishes.

@ vanny2,
Gynescope is a good hospital, you can also check safe a live, it is off stadium road. Prime is also good, its at rumuogba estate before first artillery junction, you can also check images diagnostics, its off rumuola road, opposite college of arts and science. There is also a good hospital along mgbouba, after bobby filling station. May the Lord direct your footsteps to the best.
