Land cruiser is not jeep, Land cruiser is Japanese car owned by Toyota. wrangler is jeep. Is like identifying all saloon cars as Peugeot. Thanks.

I am sure someone in your village has heard of the principle of checks and balances as a veritable safeguard against the abuse of the concept of separation of powers.

The legislature is arm of the tripartite governmental structure. Suffices to say that the legislature is part of the government. That is technically separate does not make it above the laws of the land.

The President is the head of government including the legislature. He has some sort of oversight function over other arms of government. The foregoing is the reason why Saraki is presently mired at the CCT.

Even the budget of the National Assembly is approved by the President. The supposed independence of the legislature does not confer on it a carte blanche to acts as it wishes. The actions or the lack thereof of the legislature is subject to the ambit of the constitution.


Try and educate yourself on the role of the BPP and other cognate government agencies.
