Ratello:From your write up so far..are you saying Nigerians should remain slaves to the west and cower becos of thier might and influence? then why are we a soverign country if we cannot take drastic decision such as these, without fear of any external animosity against our country... We are trying to save our economic from a total collaps in which we have found ourselve...to me that is a good step in teh right direction instead of the devaluation and opting of the IMF loan..Dont fightand follw the advise of the west and remain redundant and in fear as long as its pleases the then..that is your point of argument..is that no? thank God President Buhari does not have your mind set..;less you would have striped us all of our remaining dignity. We that love Nigeria inrespective of her challenges, shall stand and support Buhari as regard any policy is for the good of the country and will not allow any western country to destroy what we have for thier selfish interest.I am not a Fan of Buhari nor did i vote for him but i will stand and support him in this, than support the west against Nigeria for thier selfish interest. |

omoharry:Obviously you lack basic cognitive skills...point to me where I indicated that Nigeria should kowtow to Western world dictates please left to me I want Buhari to do whatever he could to lift us out of this mess but that must be done with tact especially when the interests of the West is involved the more reason I cited those examples of slain leaders. Do you understand now? |

banki:He is only advising the President to be careful. .this currency thing has killed many great leaders..when the west descends on Buhari and throws him out U will not be able to help and like all sycophants u will hide |

idupaul:Leave then to their follies....they don't seem to know how powerful and dangerous the West is especially when their interest is attacked. |

Ratello:The interest of the west is for Nigeria to devaluate the Naira..and if possible opt for the IMF loan that will further plung our economy downward. When has the interest of the west ever being in favour of thier country of interest..name it..China could only become powerful today because they decided to look inward and not cry to the west for help/please them..do you expect the west to smile and support your country's growth and development? no way...it does not work like that.Is either Nigeria looks inward to develop and displease the west or pleases the west and remain undevelop and selfs sufficient. |

mrmetoo1:Confusion and ignorance at its peak. For some people it is either the West or China. It is nonsense! Nobody stops Nigeria from doing business with China and the West simultaneously. As a matter of fact China and the US are each other's most important trading partners and their relations have been improving for decades now. The battle between those two giant economies is in people's mind. Sheer ignorance. |

omoharry:The Naira has already been depreciated. It's devaluation would be a logical consequence. Its value is being held up artificially. Introduction to Macroeconomis. |

RevDesm0ndJuju:You people should do a thorough research before you come us with the typical sermon of the West boycotting and sabotaging you. The USA are Nigeria's top export country next to India and some other European states. Moreover, the demand for oil has been going down for many years now for different reasons: 1. Financial crisis --> less demand ---> less production 2. The US is producing more oil domestically. 3. The US is reducing its dependence on oil generally. Besides, the USA bought less and less oil from nearly all countries for the reasons mentioned above. The US did not only stop buying Nigerian crude but also went a step further in portraying the last administration as weak by refusing to provide much needed diplomatic and military support to Nigeria in her fight against Boko Haram insurgents which by the way have all the hallmarks of a US backed destabilizing militia. The last administration was weak. Everybody knows it. And Western journalists are free to write whatever they want about him. It is called freed of press. The US took it up a notch by furthering campaigns of culmany against the last administration of which notably is the phantom missing NNPC $50bn or $10bn or $20bn (depending on what figure you choose to believe). There is also the BBOG scam movement which has all the hallmarks of the now dead and buried Kony 2012 CIA Psych Operation. What the heck are you talking about? As of today, Buhari has been dealt the short end of the stick as the US and western banks have refused to grant Nigeria any form of economic reprieve after Buhari cancelled all bilateral deals with China.More crap. Buhari refused to accept the loan on the conditions provided by the IMF. The US and western bankers are insisting that Buhari devalue the Naira and also open our borders for cheap imports. So? Many economists argue that this is the way to go. It is disputable but it no way proves that the West is sabotaging Nigeria for strengthening their ties with China. Buhari has stubbornly refused to do so and this has led to the first salvos being fired by his western masters. You have read them all, right? Buhari is being praised and criticized and the press does what they do with their own leaders too, they comment positively and negatively depending on many factors. The BBOG group has suddenly found their voice coincidentally after Buhari went off to China to open economic talks with that country.Source? You will recall that the BBOG campaign of calumny was loudest during the GEJ era when Nigeria hosted the World Economic Forum with China at Abuja in 2014.It was in April 2014 that the girls were abducted. When did you want the campaign to start, in 2017? We are also seeing the ICC opening up investigation into gross human rights abuse and murder of innocent civilians by this govt. The west never commented on the Shiite or Biafran massacre but all of a sudden they are now sending a delegation to Nigeria to open up investigation on these two incidences. It is their job to do it but the question is who asked them to open this investigation? Nigerians who provided evidence against him. All these stem from Buhari (rightfully in my opinion) looking towards China.Speculation based on sentiments and lack of thorough investigation of the topic. Buhari can never count on my vote neither do i hold a favorable opinion of him as president of Nigeria but I will like to advice him to be very wary of the west.Typical black and white rhetorics. The West is the devil and Africans are oppressed angels. I wish him all the luck he can get in getting out of this deal with the devils of the west. What deal? |

Mindfulness:Exactly!! I'm not sure these ignoramuses understand how both countries are dependent on each other. Apple, arguably the biggest company in America right now, probably the world, makes their products in China, almost all companies in the US manufacture their products in China. Even most clothing companies make their clothes in China. In fact its a big deal when a company announces they're producing in the US as was the case with Motorola a couple of years ago. The UK borrows from China, yet folks here want us to believe all these guys will be mad at us for doing exactly what they're doing. |

mrmetoo1:Moreover, China is USA's largest foreign creditor. The ignorance on this forum is endless. |
