To be frank, the speeds I've been seeing people post since yesterday are pretty mediocre.

Ntel promised 230mbps LTE Advanced. Getting 12mbps or so is nothing to beat their chest over, and is not even as fast, on average, as the speeds the likes of Swift LTE launched with until greed and network congestion crippled them.

From all the hype and lofty promises, anything less than 40mbps is pretty underwhelming.

Where exactly are you getting coverage? Here in Wuse Zone 2, no coverage yet.
bro pls check their website for coverage areas in Abuja - http://www.ntel.com.ng/4g-lte-coverage.php

THE SPEED FLUCTUATE SHA. but btw 1-8MBps

Unbelievable!!! wow!!! I envy you oo. I think 4G networks like Smile etc that have capped their speed at 21mbps will have a rethink now. I dont know if spectranet and swift capped their speed. This is the beauty of competition.

You guys are quite lucky. In Zone 2, no coverage yet. By the way, -97 dBm is terrible as far as signal strength is concerned. You can't achieve the available network speed at any point in time unless signal strength is at least -69 dBm. I really hope they expand their sites all over Abuja. I just feel we may be greatly disappointed.

Hello Chuckdee, what phone are you using, please?

I feel the speeds you are seeing is a function of network strength, so in an area where you have 4 or 5 bars the speed will increase. Honsule said he has seen 8MBps on idm that will be more than 40mbps

Not necessarily. Idm accelerates downloads, so it could be 40mbps or less, even.

First time activation : 1k for 3days, 7days for 2,400 and 30days for 9k. You can't collect the Sim without this activation
Did you pay for the SIM and #1000 activation separately?

No, sim is free. You only need to subscribe for either the 3day, 7 day or 1 month. The 3 day plan cost #1000. But the plan takes effect on May 1st. Until then, you will have unlimited internet access.

Ntel, if you guys are going through this thread, we need sites in zone 2, especially around ministerial quarters.

Ntel is a 4G only network. They don't support any 3G or 2G spectrum, for now. Get a 4G modem or Smart phone that supports 1800Mhz or 900Mhz, that is, band 3 or band 8. It's best to get a device that supports both spectrum.

The second are the frequencies that my tablet supports.

So is it compatible?
