Hi friends! Android 6.0 os is no more news to the smartphone line. The talk here is what is gionee doing about pushing android 6.0 to gionee m5 or any news of getting it soon? The m5 is so pretty that it will suffer the sweet os. Anyone who can help on this should kindly share

Gionee don't care if you exist in NIgeria they only carter for India market.

story for the gods. Gionee are not Good in that department. Since 2013 i wrote to them about this problem and they said they are working on it. That has always been a problem with Chinese oem. once they release a device and sell it. bye bye to that device. You see why Samsung is expensive thats because they maintain their devices.

Gionee yes but all Chinese product is not true.. Xiaomi, jiayu, infinix are all Chinese but they release updates when due and necessary....

Gionee does update. Any phone they produce as long as it's not the lowest end, it always gets the next os version.
Gionee p4 came with 4.2.2 but got 4.4.2
Gionee M2 came with 4.2.2 but got 4.4.2
Gionee E7 came with 4.2.2 but got 4.4.2
Gionee M3 came with 4.4.2 but got 5.0
Gionee p5 came with 4.4.2 but got 5.0
Gionee m5 came with 5.1 and should get 6.0
Gionee E-Life S plus came with 5.1 and should get 6.0
Gionee P5w came with 5.1 and should get 6.0

All the owners of gionee m5 need patience. Perhaps they might already be testing the update and fixing bugs.

But what I won't guarantee you is that you guys will get android 7.0 if there's any in the works by Google. Surulere okay? Even camon c8 owners suru has lere(d) why won't yours?

If you have have used a Gionee phone as you claimed you would attest to the fact that they do update their phones, I used a Gionee P4 with Android 4.2.2, two months later I updated it to 4.4.2.

I used a lot Gionee phones in the past.. The last was E3 and i didnt get any update...

If you have have used a Gionee phone as you claimed you would attest to the fact that they do update their phones, I used a Gionee P4 with Android 4.2.2, two months later I updated it to 4.4.2.

That was because people complain that p4 was released with outdated Operating system. imaging when p2 and p3 used jelly bean and Gionee released p4 with jelly bean again. that was so annoying.
