You don't need to be a coder to be a consultant, ve a major like hardware and networking and render services and support.
Thats my major and what i do at the moment but am still forging ahead, trying out new thing in technology daily. software is a good aspect too, you can develop yourself along and still setup your consultant firm too.

ICT is vast. Nobody expects you to know it all. Stick to your major area of specialization and do it well.

You might have good knowledge in other areas as well.

If you need the services of a core coder, you can always partner with or employ one.
