It is not totally blank, meaning that you can see some images if you look closer?

If so, it sounds like an issue with the inverter or backlight lamp -- faulty device or broken connection.

otabuko:
the screen dims,it is not totally blank, the sleep light on the power button keep blinking, when i touch any key,it wakes, but desktop screen can't come... Thanks, would check a repair shop.

What operating system is your PC running?

What was the last thing you did on the PC before the issue started?

- Try restoring BIOS defaults: Reboot the computer and just as soon as it starts to boot, press the appropriate key to enter BIOS setup. It's usually f2 or f10. You have to be very quick to press the key or you might miss it.

In BIOS setup, go to the exit tab and restore BIOS defaults. Save changes and exit.

- Try entering your password via the on-screen keyboard or an external keyboard?

If the issue persists, let me know and I'll guide you further.

I created the password 4 days ago and used it last 3days ago. I also worked on my seminar report with the system and charged my phone with it the day before it started rejecting the password.

It's a Windows 7 hp Elite book 6930p.

I already did the BIOS default thing and yet no change.

please I use a fake windows 8, but I want to install windows 8.1 or windows 10. But I don't know if I will lose my documents and files, as I don't have an external hard disk to back up my files. Please, the question is: will I lose my files if I install a higher windows operating system.
Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by shawlxAk(m): 12:10am On Apr 25, 2016
Use System Restore to revert to a previous state before the password was changed. Then, try to log in with the previous password. Follow the guide in the link below.

If you are upgrading, you will not lose your files. Nonetheless, it is advisable to backup your important docs.

Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by shawlxAk(m): 9:14am On Apr 25, 2016
Good morning.

Your final option is to remove or bypass the password. You can use a third-party program like
http://www.chntpw.com/download/

It's pretty straight-forward. Just carefully follow the guide. If you can't do it on your own, get a tech-savvy person near you to help or visit a computer repair shop.

What did the Engineer do, to try to fix the problem?

What operating system?

What happens when you boot into Safe Mode?

Whether you are doing a clean install or an in-place upgrade, backup your important docs still.

Get a flash drive or something.

You can also shrink your hard drive to extract some free space and then use it to create a data partition where you can move your important docs. Thereafter, you can reformat the main partition.

It could be your keyboard that has issues, you're just showing your bios setup page

Thanks to you, I have copied out my important files. But I think I landed my self into another gbese.

I followed a link on how to hack forgotten windows 7 password and I mistakenly deleted my system32 in the process.

Do u think it's going to affect the system and how can I retrieve it?

Currently I'm contemplating formating the whole system since I've retrieved my important document.
