I blame the educational system in Nigeria for failing the youths in using their critical thinking skills to assess the current economic situation in the country.People like current Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike who held the post of Minister of Education Minister in the past embezzled the money meant to edcate the youths and leaders of tommorrow and has made most of them think like brainless zombies.

PDP ruled for over 16 years during a time the country earned over $500 billion...yes that is right, $500 billion dollars and yet we still have no functional refineries, electricity generation never crossed 5000MW and the federal roads across the country are nothing but death traps.

Buhari who came to power when oil price crashed in the world market to less than $30 dollars a barrel from between $100-120 under OBJ and GEJ regime and is getting all the blame for the PDP mismanagement. Nigerians don't understand the timeline it takes to execute power project, refineries and ensure an efficient supply chain network for distribution of fuel across the country. This cannot be done under less than a year,it will take at least 5-6 years for most of the projects to come on stream.
Please be patient with Buhari, most of you have never held any leadership roles in your life and don't know what it takes to repair the damage that has been done by massive corruption and lack of maintenance culture. Buhari means well and is the only President not interested in embezzling billion of dollars like his predecessors, excercise patience.

Yes... i blame the education system too for making people of your own category think with their feet... If we shouldnt blame the President of a country for our current woes,, then what is he presiding over...
Does OP actually know the functions and task that comes with that tag... I think OP is drunk..
They blame GeJ in his own time (even till now) but we shouldnot blame PMB.. Op is sick in the head

I'm simply asking for patience with Buhari he cant fix the refineries or power sector in one year,it takes 4-6 years to complete the projects required. The fuel scarcity has to do with supply chain and Kachikwu is knowledgeable in this area he was Vice-President in Exxon Mobil, these things take time. This should all have been completed by Goodluck Jonathan when oil was was hovering from $100-$120 dollars a barrel, but under him stealing was not corruption which explains why there was massive looting and no new refineries built or achieving close to 10000MW.

You are being dishonest, oil has hovered between $25-$30 dollars a barrel during Buhari one year in power it's only the last two months after Buhari met with Saudi Arabia and other OPEC members to decrease the supply in order to raise the price that the price finally went over from $30 to the $46 it currently is now.

somebody who cannot chose ministers after 12 years,
cannot make a budget after 12 months,
will rebuild a refinery in 6 years?

Which refinery did PDP build after 16 years? After PDP budget of 16 years what does the country have to show for it?Is it good rail system, portbable water, electricity, good road network.
It is better to get things right and put the right processes in place in order the achieve the necessary milestones. PDP over the last 16 years squandered more than $500 billion in revenue which only benefitted Dubai,UK,United States and Switzerland.
Buhari will make the necessary change and leave a legacy,he is not it power to steal or share money to his cronies or a stooge of the west.

They know Buhari is not to blame but they are still bitter that Jonathan was booted out of power. Also they are embarrassed that all the lies about Goodluck Jonathan's achievements in office have been busted by cold hard reality.
There is no single thing on ground that the guy did. That is why they seem to be hanging on to "peaceful handover" as a big achievement

I still blame Buhari. They promised diversification of the economy and to look at other sources of funding the economy other than crude oil, but it seems they have lost that focus. Many countries don't have oil, yet their economy is not as bad as Nigerias.

The writer trying to heap blame on Nigeria's educational system is just showing us how he also went to school and didn't make any reasonable sense out of it.

Buhari is doing the same thing as other past Nigerians and he is expecting to a difference. Tell me what is a better definition to foolishness is than that.

The diversification of the economy has started. Depending on your IQ and maturity you may think that happens in one year. 8f you are intelligent you ask qiestions like. "how long does it take to build a refinery, dam, fertiliser plant? ". The answer is 5 years.

Please note that 75 per cent of it is NOT even diversification. It is going back to what we used to have. All the textile plants in the North almost closed down. tanneries were not expanded, UAC at Sapele had the best wood processing factory in Africa that should be exporting 1bn dollars worth of goods now, Ajaokuta was allowed to die, the best rice farms in. Africa is in Peremabiri in Bayelsa . Nigeria should have forced Dangote to build all his cement plants here so we can export,

Every good thing in Nigeria was destroyed by PDP.

OP go and read your partys manifesto and then come back here to rant.

You people shout johnathan as if Johnathan ruled for 16 years...

Johnathan also tried to right many years of wrong, and i agree he was not wholly successful.

If you have been in a position of power, you will know that no matter what happens, when you are being judged someone somwhere will still expect more.

Come back and hold me to my word, after 4 years of APC tenure, it will be as if the've done nothing. But in reality, they will give their best according to their power.

Lets stop the blame game and work hand in hand to find solutions to our numerous problems. At the end of it all, these politicians have budgeted our oil money and tax to cater for their extended needs.

Every good thing in Nigeria was destroyed by PDP.

Let me start by saying Intelligence is not the ability to conjure words of a spoken grammar together, but the ability for a deep critical and responsive reasoning.
I have my doubts of you are older than 25, you were told that PDP ruined Nigeria for 16years, I ask you, who is PDP, is PDP a person that takes decision on where to go, what to do, how to go and know the way to go?
I will elucidate further... Diversification of the economy you say might not be overnight, but frantic steps will be taking towards it, it's not a word of mouth, it begins with a step. Your arguments is basically comparing the pros and cons of both parties, saying a party earned well over $500billion and the other hasn't on sale of crude oil. This is what I call doing gree same thing over and expecting a different result. Oil price crashed in 2009. Nigeria was able to manage our economy.

Obasanjo met $2billion in reserve
Buhari met $32billion in reserve

He has no excuse,
