No,you guys should not have mercy on corrupt govt officials at all. They are the reason we are suffering in this country.
show me one politician that is not corrupt.

All politicians are scumbags. Saraki is facing trials because he stepped on toes

Nice observation, especially that of the Danladi of a fellow; that guy is a gonner. If you are in the CCT and see how he abused people, people who can make and mar destinies. But I have one reservation.
I do not think Saraki is going down. Oloye does not look like who will go down alone; he would rather scatter APC into pieces and return to the fold when the cup if full (If you know what I mean). Personally, I believe APC as a party will look back and regret not putting a stop to this Saraki's fight. Something tells me it is gonna get more dirty and messy.
We are all spectators, like I said. I think the APC was built on a faulty foundation. Looking like something that will self destruct

my brother let me ask you, how can u tell a thief to come and be a judge over another thief and you said we are fighting corruption. are u not away the judge must do what he was told so that they will not open his own case file. be wise even if u want saraki jailed, give him a fair hearing because one day somebody will be prosecute with this saraki's way by then u people will say saraki judgment was a mistake that we should correct it. Don't forget that insults was been poured on last administration on daily bases but now only just one tenth of the insult poured on last administration is been poured on this administration u are now tell us to stop the insult and pray for the government. be Wise

If the downfall of APC will make Nigeria a little better than it is now.....then so be it!

Who cares if Saraki brings half of the corrupt senate down with him....the better for the commoner sef.

The more reason why I want him to go down.

Saraki CCT trial: A CASE OF POT CALLING KETTLE BLACK
pls I want to make everyone know that I am not in
support of corruption neither am I against the fight against
corruption. it is said that whatever is worth doing is worth
doing well. But I want to make my thought known on this
saraki case. my focus here is on the man acting as the
chairman of the CCT. He has corruption case hanging on his
neck and was even arrest and later granted administrative
bail. A man who is on bail is trying another on corruption
charges. And he ( CCT chairman Justice Umar) will be
facing the senate soon to answer questions on his alleged
corruption charges and the hearing will be headed by Saraki
himself... Your guess on the outcome of the hearing is as
good as mine (lols). My points are;
- it shows that the Nigeria system is fighting against itself.
- In a sane society, with the level of accusation on Saraki
and Justice Umar ( both have corruption charges hanging on
their neck) they should have RESIGNED. ( yea! I wrote d
resign with upper case to s
how how important it is).
Nigeria is a joke.... pls fuel attendant give me five litres..
LOLS
U are outdated bro, the Senate had withdrawn the letter summoning the cct chairman due to public pressure so he is not facing them any time soon.

While you may be right about Saraki stepping aside as the SP, there's still a slim difference between Saraki and judge Umar. Umar is most likely to dance to the tune of efcc to save his neck, whereas Saraki can't influence the outcome of his trial, whether he resigns as SP or not. I would love to see Saraki resign and also judge Umar. That would be an ideal situation.
My friend let Umar dance to any tone. These politicians are not helping us. No need to cry for them. Let their family and lawyers do the crying since they are the beneficiaries.

Let them start arresting themselves. When another party come to power, let them sweep APC members to jail. who cares? They are all criminals, who him cup full, let him manage it. is one of those things in life.

These politicians dont know you and i. The more they go to jail is better for you and i....................... Leave them bros. Let them witch hunt themselves.

NOBODY CAN COME TO ARREST YOUR FATHER OR MY FATHER ON THIS ISSUE because THEIR HANDS ARE CLEAN..............WHY YOU DEY WORRY?

Bad news

I thought PDP play dirty politics until APC came on board to show how dirtier politics can be played. Am sure PDP guys are feeling like leaners now. Saraki needs to get used to the fact that he is going down. The powers ganged up against him are too formidable for him to contend with.
On the flip side I just pity this Danladi of a guy. He is still a learner in Nigeria politics. After he is done playing out the script given to him. Either of two things will happen.

His masters will see him as a potential problem. They will bring him down, if he escapes them those presently hurt by his actions will come for him some day no matter the time it takes.

He acts like he is brave and daring but I think he is a mere chicken.

Am just a spectator enjoying the intriguing drama

Danladi Umar is corrupt and a fool. I believe nemesis will eventually catch up with him.

If I may ask where is the fairness?
He who come to equity, must come with clean hands.
I believe the incorruptible Judge, will properly sanction both Saraki and Danladi.

Mr Saraki, u have stolen over 5 billion naira as a public officer, now u are pointing your finger at someone who is accused of stealing 10 million naira.....

I'm not saying Umar should be left alone, but why not just be bold and defend your almost 5billion naira theft boldly and come for Umar later, or ask others to come for Umar while u stand to defend your own.

Like it or leave it, you should stand to defend yourself . You should! You Must!

Its okay, if anyone says Fashola and Amechi are also thieves, agreed! But if someone like Saraki who has all the power can't dig and bring out details for us to try Fashola and Amechi, is it common me that will be able to fetch the documents, when I can barely get access to a local government to get my own papers like land survey.

If Saraki will help us fetch details to nail others, good for everybody! But while he does that or he is doing that, let him defend himself openly, anything anything! Saraki must defend himself....he must!

Already, Mr. Saraki should hand over fully all affairs of the senate, m not even saying resign, so wen he is found innocent and can resume back....but now, handover and go defend yourself.
Imagine, a man being accused of corruption is busy pointing accusing fingers at another man. He should be busy defending himself. If we follow the yardstick of Saraki's camp that Umar should step down, Saraki should live by example and step down too until cleared of the allegations against him. This scenario is rampant in Nigeria, whenever a public figure is being accused of corruption, instead of defending himself/herself, they will embark on a campaign to scuttle their trial. Even if Umar is corrupt and I believe he is, Saraki should defend himself.

Judge Saraki!!! I hail you
TheFreeOne:
Says clearance cannot override AGF’s recommendation for Umar’s removal, prosecution

By Tobi Soniyi

Dr Bukola Saraki, has dismissed the purported clearanceof the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), Danladi Umar, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in relation to his alleged involvement in a N10 million corruption case.

Saraki contended that there was no time the EFCC cleared Umar, and that even where such clearance existed, it was a confirmation of his (Saraki’s) position that the CCT under Umar could not ensure fairness in his trial.

Saraki, who spoke in Abuja through his lawyer, Ajibola Oluyede, argued that the clearance purportedly issued Umar by EFCC could not override the recommendation made in 2014 by the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) for Umar’s prosecution.

Oluyede said it was only the AGF that possesses the power, under the law, to reverse a decision to prosecute, arguing that his client’s application urging Umar to disqualify himself from the trial was still at the tribunal.

He faulted reports that the application had been thrown out by the tribunal, noting that since the prosecution was yet to respond to it, and it had not been heard, the tribunal could not have decided.

He also faulted reports that he was thrown out of the tribunal’s sitting venue. He said that he was at the proceeding until it was adjourned.

He said that he would argue the application before the tribunal once it was ripe for hearing.

“We are not saying he (Umar) is guilty. We are saying he is tainted and that he cannot act independently while the EFCC that is investigating him and had indicted him is now prosecuting our client before him. That is why we asked him to recuse himself from the trial.

“He did so before in the case involving former FCT Minister, Jeremiah Useni, where he excused himself from the hearing on the ground that he had close relationship with Useni. We are asking him to do so again now because of the facts that we have presented,” Oluyede said.

Referring to some additional documents he filed before the tribunal, Oluyede noted that upon the EFCC report of June 24, 2014, the then AGF directed then EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Lamorde to prosecute Umar and his aide, Ali Gambo for accepting bribe from an accused person, Rasheed Taiwo

Exactly, they are all corrupt and one by one we will get to the others but right now Saraki is our scape goat so he should be dealt with mercilessly. If you know what these pple have deprived you and I of (ordinary Nigerians), if you have an idea what the money stolen by then could have done for us if channelled into the appropriate place, you won't feel sorry for them, really.

he's not the only one who stole from this country. Even Buhari himself is not innocent of this if we are to be honest with ourselves.

Tinubu, fashola, Jonathan, Obj and every politician deserves jail time if we are to follow your logic.

I'm saying they should free him because we need cordial relationship between the Senate and the presidency

If you think Saraki will go down without pulling someone with him you're de
ceiving yourself.

Politics is a dirty game played by pigs
The fight against corruption can only be successful when it starts from the top. And to start from the top, one person must be used as an example so others would no that one day it will get to them. So let us stop dragging others into it when someone is being prosecuted because you can't prosecute everybody at the same time. We have to start somewhere, that's the only way we can fight corruption.
