Iheanacho has a better minute-to-goal ratio than minute-to-goal ratio stands at 81.27 - a figure that surpasses illustrious forwards such as Robert Lewandowski, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez... the Manchester City forward is Europe's deadliest player...

Lol... It wasn't even about yesterday alone, you haven't said anything about his dip in form and recent performance, or maybe I haven't checked well
And who has said anything prior? I have not seen the last 2 games except watching highlights. Although my younger bro told me Neymar didn't do well, especially with the somewhat unnecessary dribbles even when the team is seeking a goal. But sometimes we fail to take cognizance of his other impacts. He won us 2 PKs in our last match. Is that not part of the impact a player brings?

I am not justifying his recent form. By his standard, he has not been particularly great this year. But admittedly too, things have been blown outta proportion. As much as it's ok to criticise when its due, it should be done with care. Even Messi has suffered from this too and frankly its sometimes not fair.

It's not a mistake that Neymar is the most provoking player in La Liga. Not just for the amount of foul he draws, but because of the number of PKs he has won for the team. He now has the record for the highest number of PKs won by a player in La Liga in a single season. That too is something, but when people start criticising, they make it seem like you are already dead.

Remember, I ain't saying he shouldn't be criticised. He should because he has not been himself in 2016. But then, people should take a chill pill. I'm as worried as some others. The people who never liked him are using this as an opportunity and as a means to pour out every ill-thing they have against him.

Didn't Messi win more at a younger age?
Comparing Messi and Ronaldo's club football successes to others is unfair. Very unfair.

I am not someone that criticises players anyhow. Neymar has been performing below acceptable minimum standard lately. In the last match, he won 2 penalties no doubt, but the two pks can never erase the poor performance he had in the match. He latched on many beautiful passes from Messi only to squander them unnecessarily. The only time Suarez got same pass in the area, it was a bang! He barely made any meaningful pass and was guilty of excessive dribbling here and there.
As you have rightly said, every player faces this kind of issues at one point or the other as even god Messi too is not exempted. That's why I am not really bothered about Neymar's display lately. I deeply rooted for that 3rd pk to be given to him just for his confidence to be boosted and I was glad he was able to score it.
Where my issue now lies is this: if all the rumours about partying around and skipping trainings are true, then there's really so much to worry about. You would agree with me that flouting club's rules and skipping trainings are some of the least expected things from a player who is not really living up to expectation in a great club as ours.
He should be the 1st person to get to training ground and the last person to leave.
My support and love for Neymar is well documented even on this thread, but I will not spare him if truly he has started towing the lane of Ronaldinho. We all know what the end result will be.

Well said. Nothing you have said is untrue. But the problem there is this; like I said in my earlier post, this is being blown outta proportion.

Like the skipping of training thingy, I have never read anywhere that he skipped training. This is the reason i said when people wanna criticise, most times many do so with a view to pouring out their anger or hatred they have for a particular player.

Talk about those who have paid much for coming to training late, Neymar was the second on the list with Piqué the first. And as you and I were greatly aware of, it was made known. Have you read anywhere where they made mention of the fact that he skipped training? I have never read anywhere and I doubt if you have too. But why the excessive exaggeration by some to slay him at this juncture?

Moreso, from what i have known about Neymar, this has been his way most of the times, even when he was supposedly doing great. How come it's this time everything is surfacing? Probably because he is going through a bad patch. Ronaldo has been going to Morocco all these while, but during his somewhat bad spell, complaints started coming out especially from Perez and an embargo was even placed (so I read) for him to stop making those trips, yet he didn't adhere. But today no one is talking about it anymore. Why? Because he is having a great time on the pitch. The moment he starts struggling again, it will resurface. This is the reason why people should pipe it down with the criticism. He could be having this bad patch due to mental, psychological or physical fatigues. Did you read the 4 possible reasons Neymar could be having this rough patch on Sports? Try to peruse through it and see that there could be other things. Not saying it couldn't be the things you or others have been talking about, but it could just be because of other things or even a combo of different things. And for the records, among the 4 reasons listed, the recent complaint was one of them, so don't think I am trying to shy away from it.

Now, am not saying the criticism shouldn't be administered, but all i am saying is that people should take it easy with how they do it because they end up blowing this way outta proportion.

I am as concerned as every Culé out there, but is it fair that some have already started saying he should be sold? I mean...

Honestly, you need not ask this. No true culé would want Madrid to go ahead of City.

Of course I never expected him to take it lightly. But then, we really need to be objective with our judgement and try to minimise the hate. Sometimes hate is inevitable but it should be to a reasonable extent.

Like I have said for the umpteenth time, people tend to blow this outta proportion and our very own Honourable Coded ain't an exception. I could remember his post i quoted some days back. Honestly, he made some non-existent claims about Neymar in a view to painting him in a bad or even worse light.

Every true culé is worried, especially in reminiscence of Dinho. But it's not up to that yet and hopefully it will never get to that. Like I said, it could just be some other factors. Let's not be quick to nail the lad. Coded I hail ooooooo.cheesy

Do we have any neighbour from Madrid? Yes! How many? One! cheesy What's the name? Did I hear someone say Atletico? Of course it's Atletico.

I don't have any neighbour with the name tag Real-Madrid. Is that the name of a breed of dog? Puta!

This is the 1st time in many years we are having a top scorer different from Messi. That's what we really craved for then, a proven centre forward that would share with Messi the burden of goal scoring.
Suarez is da bomb!
