Some weeks back in UNILAG, some students had protested the incessant power outage in the school and poor power supply and had moved to meet with the management on Thursday, April 7, with a view to finding a lasting solution to the crisis. The school's reply? "Go and Die". Here is how Naij.com put it - But rather than proffer a solution to the issues raised by the students, the management of the institution, rising from an emergency meeting on Thursday, ordered the students out of the institution while other activities in the school continues, effectively telling them to "Go and Die'.   Considering this current poor living conditions in the school hostels, in sympathy, some students of the University requested Akoka be added to the site - http://irentaway.com, that will enable evicted students and those currently facing poor living conditions to find cheap affordable housing off-campus by pairing up with another Akokite. The site enables matching of students by subjecting them to an 8-point personality test and after this, students can choose a fellow student with similar likes and tastes e.g Cooking, smoking, religion, e.t.c We are excited to introduce this innovation into the UNILAG community and hopes this helps foster togetherness, brotherliness and espirit d' corps among great Akokites. check it out - irentaway.com 1 Like |
