Why do they always rush to the center?. They should device alternative methods to generate revenue and be self sufficient. Whatever that comes from the center, will be a plus.

Despite all the shades and insults often thrown at the northerners, they aren't owing workers their salary. It's a shame to those southern states owing workers despite the IGR generated. No state has any reason to owe its workers;if that's the only achievement you can boast of as a government, it's better,my opinion though.

The problem of Nigerian government inability to pay salaries of its workers stem from unreliable biodata of its workers which have resulted in ghost workers.

Nigerian government do not have a reliable data of the number of workers that are in its workforce. Government in Nigeria refused to update their information system.

Government refuse to apply modern technology to know those that need jobs, those that are in its workforce, those that are due for retirement etc.

There is too much laxity in the part of government in Nigeria.

The problem has been with us since Nigeria gained Independence from Britain.
Do you know that my dad that retired over a year ago is still being contacted to provide some information that should have been obtained while service. I give up on Nigeria.

i noticed ost of the indebetd states to be my yoruba speaking peopole!kilode my people?,and i also observed that most of our aboki fulani states have all paid up their workers!could it be because there is less work to do in the north than in the south, abi it is partly because there are actually less developmental projects going on in the north than in the south or the Northern govrs pocket more money and then sharing the rest between them self lazy commissioners and local govt c/men?pls o,just for the asking!

Yoruba states are the most backward in the federation. They don't pay workers and the workers are so powerless to fight for their rights. All what the Yorubas know how to do best is to eat amala and ewedu and express their tribalism on others.

I can't understand why Bayelsa, Imo, Delta and Ondo states are owing their workers outstanding salaries. They earn oil allocation apart from the federal allocation. SHW!

Can you imagine those southwestern states: Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Osun. They all have outstanding salaries, I don't think they have any reasonable excuse.

it's because the yoruba governors adopted the strategy of borrowing during the oil boom and spending mostly on non-revenue generating projects, not realizing that the oil boom was just a bubble that could burst at anytime. In short "short sightedness"

i was expecting him to say GEJ is the reason why governors can't pay salaries, cos GEJ is the slogan representing anything bad in this administration.

so i just read that the dullard was in shock to know that salaries are being delayed. when the old thin will not stay at home, is he not holding meeting with them now? is it not when he stays with his people that he will know what the problem is? the truth still remain " this government isn't ready for this governance" its just a sheer luck that they are on that seat. period!
