Manseydour:Define pharmacy and define Pharmacology and tell me how they are one and the same. Go study Pharmacology then call yourself a pharmacist and see if you don't get the ridicule of your life. Please teach me my profession. |

eridos:Its either you re not being completely honest or u were just lucky and I will give u facts 1.as a pharmacist you re not allowed to register more than one shop..if you want to own another shop you must hire another pharmacist 2.if u work in any government establishment. .u re not allowed to register a shop 3.there re so many unemployed pharmacists in the country which is why some of them re sales rep to men with capital 4.the salary scale of an entry pharmacist is grade 10 which is the same as a graduate with any professional certificate to his cv 5.a pharmacist can earn better in a pharmaceutical industry just like an english graduate can higher in if he or she works for the un 6.if u dont have passion for Pharmacy. .u will be miserable 7.the golden age of making serious profits from the pharmaceutical industry re over as there re more strict rules now unlike when u can just without the problem of nafdac which is why men like juhel and orange re seriously diversifying |

psalm121vs1:So many unemployed pharmacist??Sir,I haven't seen any jobless pharmacist, you can never be unemployed as a pharmacist, you can only be underemployed that which is quite rare. All the denigratory points you cited have no claims to validate it sir,you obliviously and ignorantly enumerated the cons without making mention of the pros. You even went to the extent of juxtaposing a pharmacy grad with an English graduate? Oga how far,who does that? Of course the entry level for a pharmacy grad after nysc is CONHESS level 10 of I'm not mistakened,A b.sc nurse grad is on CONHESS level 8 not to even mention the auxiliary nurses. At the internship level, you're placed on a salary scale of CONHESS level 9 obviously higher than a B.sc nurse grad which is quite unfair. I suppose you're not new to the fact pharmacists are the next paid after doctors in terms of salary scale. some of your points are quite drab, insipid, unintelligent, myopic and shallow sir!!No offence intended sir! |

IZANAMI:Bro, I ain't a knight and every subspecialties you mentioned are in pharmacology. I have an advice for you. Go and buy a standard pharmacology textbook and read it up from front to back, after you have done that, you'll be intelligent and you'll learn to not call others unintelligent or ignorant. |
| Re: How Lucrative Is Pharmacy As A Career? by Timolanki(m): 10:58am On Apr 29, 2016 |
RALPHOW:No full time employed pharmacist earns less than 120k. Someone earning 50k is only doing a part time job of which he or she wl still cover 2 or more places for the same or more pay. I'm in the profession so i ve my facts. |

babyfaceafrica:Am very sure the person just finished from pharmacy school n either waiting for internship placement or nysc cos a Pharmacist can never earn such a ridiculous salary. |

RALPHOW:The salary for some may not be as impressive as you would expect but no pharmacist that knows his onions will settle for 50k per month. He can do that as a side job. In a federal hospital, their salary is not less than 120k for entry level and even in big community pharmacies, 100-120k is usual the benchmark for a superintendent. It can even be as high as 200k. Do a quick search on jiji. ng on pharmacy vacancies and see the proposed salaries for pharmacists. Lets not even begin to talk about medical reps for these multinational pharmaceutical companies. Those ones earn big. |

IZANAMI:U can still get ur points across without being aggressive. ..lemme give another fact 1.U have to work for at least five years before u become a supretendant pharmacist that is u cant register a shop even with ur licence except u ve worked for five years..which is why what eridos posted is not logical except he was lucky 2.bsc with professional certificate like ican is automatic grade 10 3.dont expect to be paid the same thing u earned during internship and in summary dont think u better than anyone cos this is really the reason why there re so many unemployed graduates..I mean u just said I dared compare English with pharmacy but what u should know is this in terms of academics a prof is a prof. .no one really cares about ur area of expertise and in the corporate world anybody can be anybody.. u might have a dream of working for orange drugs..just remember he dint finish high school |
