If you say it's an abnormality (to follow your line of reason, not that I perceive it that way), then it would imply that it's not a matter of choice but of biological wiring.
In that instance, to deny them equitable treatment would be to discrimination. Would you consider it fair to be treated as a criminal for something which isn't your fault, like being denied a job because you are the wrong skin colour?
Racism based on racial differences exists because one group views the other as abnormal. Yet we know that is unfair because we don't get to choose our race. As a group who has been persecuted and enslaved because we are different, I expect us to be the most empathetic to other issues of differences having suffered discrimination ourselves.
But no, we are worse. Something which leads me to conclude that if we are the more dominant race, we would do worse than what the whites did to us.
