greetings:
Hello, every one, especially the gurus in the house.

I've been following for a week now and am just catching up. The resource here is worth thousands in my pocket (no agents services).

Zandora, irondome, Jesusdway and other gurus in the house. Please help answer this question.

If I choose not to evaluate hubby's credentials with wes and not claim points for it. Can I still claim points for his work experience, as far as we can get work reference?

Thanks.
You cannot claim points for your husband's work experience, unless he earned them in Canada. The only place where spouse can help with points is ielts and ECA.

Hello dears, I recently got a letter from WES stating that my Diploma and BSc transcripts have both been verified by my institution and evaluated by WES. Although I am yet to conclude the transcripts processing with my school as my contact keeps telling me, the transcripts are currently pending with the school Admin.
Going by the recent report, is there a need to continue with the transcript processing or the letter from WES simply means,my school has done the needful without me, sending my transcripts over ? Please I need more clarification from experienced minds here.

I don't think you would need to send your transcripts anymore, Since evaluation is already in process. If they need your transcripts they wouldn't commence evaluation.

Good day everyone,
I recently Applied for Permanent residency through the BC Provincial Nomination. Also, because I have a job offer, I was also given a Work permit support letter with my Nomination Certificate. I have also applied for a work permit, however, I have not done medical exam yet. I thought I was supposed to get instruction from CIC to go for medicals like they sent for Biometrics. However, I was reading through the past email from the recruiter that is on my case and I discovered that I should have done an upfront medical before submitting my online work permit application. So, I want to know if I can still go ahead and do the medical before I get instruction from CIC. I do not want my application to be delayed. It's been 3 weeks since I submitted it.
Anyone who has submitted online work permit application, how did you go about it?

Hi. Can you share with us how you got the job offer and how you were able to apply for the BC Provincial Nomination? I know the BC Nomination thing requires a job offer so, how did you manage to nab it?

Hi, i experienced the same thing. I could not process my wife's transcript but before i know it, WES has completed the evaluation. At a point the status showed waiting for verification from institution, wouldn't know if the school responred to them and was sufficient. Bottom line is that what you are experiencing is possible. If you wish, you may go ahead to complete the sending of your transcript.

God bless you guys for the good work you are doing here.

Sorry for my many questions but please I'd like clarifications ..

Do we get points for spouse's certificate evaluation?
As he is a doctor, won't it delay our application? Though we are about to begin the process to evaluate his medical certificates by the appropriate body ( so he can start taking at least the part 1 exams but they say it takes months) but I'm just wondering, for the purpose of this application, if we really need to at this point.

P.s : we need all the points we can get.. He's doing the IELTS with me

dear all, just want to ask that if you are nominated by a province, what is the minimum number of years that you must live in that province before you can permanently relocate to another province.

I don't understand what you mean, but there is a specific format your reference letter must follow.
Here are some documents you need to have when you receive your ITA

Employment Records
6 months Bank statement showing the required amount needed
Passport
Birth certificate
Education credentials
Marriage certificate (if applicable)
Police certificate
Digital photos
Proof of Medical examination (this is done right after you recieve ITA)

Please note that the documents required mostly based on the information you filled on your EE profile.
Check this site out for different format for your reference letter: http://www.fsw2014.info/sample-reference-letter/ you can adjust to meet your requirement.

Your husband can get points for his Highest university degree. I have no idea about medical certificates, hopefully someone else can come and help you out.

Extra 10 points will be added to your profile if hubby does his medical degree evaluation.

His IELTS result accounts for the other 20. He needs to make a minimum of 8777 to get the full 20 points though.

It is quite expensive no doubt but look at it from the bigger picture. You were convinced and concluded with your hubby to do this for some reasons. Always have that at the back of your mind when discouragement sets in. There are other fees to pay but in the end, you will smile when the ultimate is achieved i.e PPR.

Ekpekus and dfash2000, may I know how much you eventually paid for the wes per application using you naira cards? Especially, Gtbank. Heard they charge 260 to 1 cad. Or is western union or money gram cheaper?

Anybody paid for wes recently? Please share info.

Thanks

You should try and live in any province for year. If you don't get a job etc then you can move. But not before trying to make it home, for at least a year. try and do your own research on this.

Thanks for shedin more light on this. I am yet to receive the transcript as we speak, though. Presently, am yet ( Writing next month) to write my IELTS at the moment. What else do I need to send to CIC without waiting for IELTS result. Trying to avoid any delay. Please, gurus in the house, should advice.

I am a Nurse here in Nigeria. I completed registration and licensing with College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia, which is the major prerequisite for most of the nursing jobs posted, then, I applied for jobs, got interviewed. When my interviewer understood that I am not from Canada and would need a work permit, I was assigned to an external recruiter who proceeded with my case and told me to apply through BC provincial nominee program which they use for foreign workers. I signed a full time permanent job offer, he concluded everything on their part and sent me all the document I needed to apply for the BC PNP and urged me to apply as soon as possible.
I applied for BC PNP, got nominated and was sent a nomination certificate and work permit support letter with instructions on what to do next. So, now, I have applied for work permit and PR. As soon as my work permit is issued I will go to Canada and start working while I wait for my PR.
In one of the email my recruiter sent to me, he informed me to apply for Upfront medical before submitting my work permit online but I don't know how I completely forgot, I guess it's because I was so overwhelmed with making both applications and trying to do everything right. The timeline for work permit shows 3 months. I hope they request for my medical soon and give me a form for it. If I had done upfront medical I wouldn't be waiting for instructions now. I feel so stupid. My recruiter has been writing me to ask how I am coping with the application and the manager that interviewed me have been in contact too wanting to know how I am faring with everything because they can't wait for me to start.
It was a long process but I was patient. Especially getting the nursing license. I also got advice from Nurses who have gone through the process, one of them decided to start a blog about the whole process to help other nurses through the process. I don't know if it's ok to post the link to the blog here.
I have 3 other employers from different regions in BC offering me jobs but I have already chosen this one.
It was a long journey but I'm glad I'm close.

Thanks much for this and, would appreciate if you can post the link to the blog. I also wouldn't mind if you can highlight the steps taken in getting your license, how long it took and how much it costed. Also, was there a need to do IELTS and if there is, what is the minimum required score for each section of the IELTS? Thanks once again. I will in the meanwhile see if i can search for the blog
