He finally got through but the friend told him that he has changed his mind that he should look for somewhere else to stay.

Cousin is disappointed, and doesn't have anybody or place to stay after the conference. The conference is in New york. The Art organizers provided him with accommodation until the end date of the conference.

Nairalanders, I need your help to assist this brother.

It would have been good if he came in the winter so that the snow storm and blizzard can transport him back home in air ambulance

As at 2013 when i was there, it wasn't recognised. That was why i had to make a transfer. I don't really know what must have happened afterward.

He travelled for an Art Conference after which he planned to go to Ohio.... but in a reply you stated he had a second conference beginning 2 days after the first. Which must we believe?...he travelled to attend one/two conferences?....tell us which one is a lie mistake....or is the truth that he got to New York and after one week he would be broke?... If his friend who knows him refuses to give him shelter tell us why strangers should. Reading between the lines.... his plan is to remain in the US.... getting there was all that matters and I guess you and others assured him he need not worry about anything else since his being handsome and single would open doors for him. When Nairalanders warn you guys about the reality of life in the US you guys claim they are discouraging you.... now is for him to take another gamble and stay...or return home and face his debtors. I do have connections in NY that can help him out.... show him around and find him a place to stay.... but not for free. Good luck. Look before you leap

-Sincinnati?
-Cleaveland?(my home boy leaves in Cleveland, but me need to ask him 1st if he is willing to accommodate )
-Sandusky?(I have an akata family here,but d woman. Go won collect small money from am ohh)

Another very good advice is that he should go to a n9ja church (Redeemed )cos i know my church in LA always help in cases like this..,he is 98% sure of getting a place to sleep..)if he tries a n9ja church..

Finaly,whts his plan after conference, is he coming back abi him won start to dey hustle iyawo for kpaly?how I wish he was in Cali, I for carry am go drop for my church, (there,he went have to worry for food,accommodation and free internet cos my pastor and his crew are among d nicest peeps u will ever meet)

The first conference ends May 20th. He also has another conference starting May 22nd. He was provided accommodation for the 1st conference but couldnt get accommodation for the 2nd.

His friend may have changed his mind knowing that his lifestyle in America is nothing to write home about hence must have been ashamed to let your cousin stay with him.
How old is your cousin?
He can travel to the States without having a contingency plan
Go to an hotel or motel.
A lot of cheap motels are available!!!

Majority of Yankee based nairalanders would dodge this topic like it's Ebola. Lol.

Is this not the type of thing the American govt has been complaining of, if you go for a conference after the conference you go back to your country, if you want to stay longer that is if your VISA permits then go lodge in a hotel if you dont have anybody in the states.

How do you come to NL to ask for help as if the guy is desperate. Maybe he is trying to stay back permanently then say so, so that we can know how to help him settle in but remember with a social security nos he can not work.
