I knew that this man knows a lot about Nigeria and major mercenary for corruption in Nigeria. The full weight of the law should be metted on this character.

He met the pope, knows all the bishops in Anglican and Catholic churches in Nigeria and one some would die for in Anambra State. I am sorry, no space for nonsense this time around. You would not be spared. Wicked one. The pope won't even save you and your type.

I only knew that with time all this would manifest. This is just the beginning. Nonsense!

Obiano should be on standby, just in case.

Someone should educate me, What crime did the MD commit? He's a banker, its his job to take money to keep and disburse when needed. You can't arrest a man for doing his legal duty.

there is a limit to the amount involving transactions both by an individual or corporate body, of which if the amount is above that limit, you are supposed to report to the apex bank, so they could be sure the money is not stollen or being laundered.

His crime is those transactions were not reported to the necessary quarters as expected by law. Banks give rendition of various reports to NFIU. EFCC and CBN on daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Some banks may have intentionally removed the transaction from the report and which is a crime on its own and it is also fraudulent in nature, apart from aiding and abetting a fraud.

All what the bank needed to do is just report. Whether the regulatory bodies are using the reports or not, it is not the bank's business and headache.

What is new?

Peter Obi's convoy was apprehended with N250m cash in Apapa, Lagos in his first tenure. Bribes exchanged hands and the case was subsequently swept under the proverbial carpet when he explained that it was for the purchase of some government vehicles. His apologists nodded in approval and spinned in chorus. At the end, the helpless gullibles gave stamps of approval. Armed with a feminine pitch, Peter Obi looted Anambra and Local Government funds as if avarice is going out of vogue. Then again, he is okwute ndi Igbo.

I am just laughing...

The church should do well by refunding all the monies received in cash or kind from this "cheerful giver" immediately, otherwise, I would quit. Everything received from Fidelity Bank and Peter Obi whether through harvest, bazaar, donation, cash, lunch, breakfast, etc must be returned.

General, that means in this case Obi is innocent and clean of this matter because he merely sent the bank MD to a potential customer as he did not know how much was involved before sending the MD to market Diezani. Again it was the bank MD that was supposed to turn the transaction down if he found out that the CBN regulations forbids absorbing such amount that should have been reported to CBN in line with the regulations. I think the MD should be the fall guy here!

It is the duty of the bank to report any transaction in excess of 10000000 naira to EFCC - that the bank did not do.

Another is that the money was not paid into any account. It was received and shared in cash - that is money laundering.

By law, he is supposed to report any transaction in excess of N1m for personal accounts and N5m for corporate accounts to the EFCC. Failure to do so implies that he is an accomplice if eventually any foul play is detected.
