Thanks bro.. Currently undergoing my Drivers license permit in Virginia, steps taken so far: 1. You must have read and understood all road sign and symbols, you can find in on the site: https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/dmv%2Dmanuals/#/manual/1/section/2/subsection/2.1 2. visited a local DMV office around you; mine was in Fair Oaks Mall office in fairfax, look for the closest DMV center around you 3. Document to bring along: SSN card, statement of account from your bank, i-20 form, your international passport, international Drivers license, school ID card, sevis i-90 form 4. You will be required to fill out a form and do eye test 5 you will then be directed to write the online test, if you pass you will be given a note for the actual physical driving test. When you get there you will be directed by the security attendant Best of luck, please note this is for Virginia bigfrancis21: |

mikky4all:Minnesota State University, Mankato doesn't require GRE for Environmental Science. The only challenge u will face is that u must register with educationusa nd they will mail the school to inform them that u have registered. |
| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 8 by mikky4all(m): 8:17pm On May 07, 2016 |
fizzile:Thanks for the info bro, the registration is like how much and will I still have to pay for application fee. |

Holudarey01:Hmnnn. What abt winter intake then |
| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 8 by Nobody: 9:31pm On May 07, 2016 |
mikky4all:Spring you meant? Depends on the size of your pocket. Most schools have limited funding for spring. I dunno schls without GRE for environmental science but with your first class, a good GRE score can land you a PhD program |
| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 8 by AgreatMan: 9:33pm On May 07, 2016 |
mikky4all:this your tin don late small o. The situation would have been a bit better if you hv a gre score as you would be able to apply to more schools. try the school with the education USA but at this point, make sure you mail the grad cord of any school you intend to apply so u won't waste money on an already saturated program. By d way, Whaz d difference between environmental engineering and environmental science? apply to the both of them, u can always specialize. |
| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 8 by fizzile(m): 9:36pm On May 07, 2016 |
mikky4all:The registration is roughly 35k..its different from the 40dollars u will pay mnsu for their application fee. just attend their lecture for the public on wednesday by 9 at the embassy then inform the woman dat u want to register for educationusa...cos its a criteria for all applicants from Nigeria. Thursday is then for members, u will attend it too. |

mikky4all:Thaz also a good option but winter can be tricky as schools are sometimes reluctant to accept (personal experience). Go and get d gre...Winter is coming! ![]() |

kaykad:That's awesome bro that you're finally on your license process! The process is the same for Maryland as well, except for the 3 hour drug and alcohol test applicable to MD testers. When you get your license, it will be valid for as long as your valid stay in the country as indicated on your I-20 (this is a federally compliant driver's license, as in according to your residency status here). If you want to renew it close to your expiry date as written on your I-20 and you're still on F1 status, you most likely be given a non-federally compliant driver's license (i.e. one which is not dependent on your legal status and mostly available to undocumented immigrants) and is valid for 8 years. Drive safe and watch out for those crazy drivers. Obey the speed limit to avoid having speeding tickets in your mailbox (caught by traffic cameras showing you speeding) suddenly show up at your mailbox. Good luck on your physical test. |

Let Somebody Shout Hallelujah!!! I really thank God for Nairaland, and it's citizens. Looking back to all the years spent on this zone, it was never wasted, I got my Visa on Monday March 7,(07:28am) 2016, and landed in Los-Angeles on March 28 2016. I spent my Easter on Emirate, and I was welcomed by a smooth breeze of 7-MPH. I can't remember most of the questions and answers cos they're all here, but I remembered vividly the lady said to me: C.O.N.G.R.A.T.U.L.A.T.I.O.N.S! I felt like David killing Goliath that day. I'm giving God Almighty all the Glory(Hallelujah) My best advise for anyone chasing this dream is to commit everything to God, and request information from legit citizens of Nairaland loba-tan! ! |

Ishilove:Craziness on Nigerian road is with no rules whereas craziness on U.S road is with rules. A crazy driver might win a lawsuit filed against you. So if he's not careful, he might end up paying for what was initially initiated by a crazy driver and his license in jeopardy. |

Holudarey01:why mikky4all dey rush? He has a first class and want to gamble it away. This is a lifetime opportunity that he is playing with. He should go see down and prepare hard for GRE and probably retake TOEFL. I am expecting a score of 320 upward from him. He is a candidate full funding PhD in a good school, ivy league inclusive but his level of anxiety may not help him o. Please slow down and be guided as Holudarey01 has said. |

brawnmoney:No one gives a spare f.uck and certainly no one will be interested in adding your dodgy as.s ... Travelanders add this guy to your own peril. A guy came out of nowhere no transcript, nothing and suddenly wants to start running away with peoples SEVIS fee and GRE money. |
