The Italian, who claimed his first top-flight title in three decades of management with the Foxes' 5000-1 triumph, has broken the record for the fewest days passed between appointment and winning the title which was previously held by Jose Mourinho. Ranieri was appointed by Leicester on July 13, 2015, and claimed the league crown on May 2, with 294 days passing in between, beating Mourinho's record by 38 days.
