The chap was extremely lucky. The path the dagger passed through was surprisingly free from any major blood vessels. He was even without any post-surgical complications. This is a very lucky guy.

I am grateful to those doctors that worked hard to treat him.
It is still a shame that in Nigeria a victim who is in urgent need of medical assistance have to be taken to the police station first for some report before they are allowed to be taken to a hospital. This trend should change. Who ever is in charge of these rules should re evaluate their laws and re educate the masses. The hospitals in charge should treat the victim and place a call to the police for further action. People should not be endangered beyond what situation they are already in.
