Seun is banning Forex trading but Bill Gates is encouraging forex trading in Nigeria by donating $100m to traders. Is Seun telling us that Bill Gates is a fool? https://www.nairaland.com/554950/bill-gates-loan-nigeria-forex#45453618 Read it here too: http://www.nigerianbestforum.com/index.php?topic=83410.0 1 Like 1 Share |

donem: 1. It will affect our traffic, but we will get some new traffic from the legitimate business discussions that will fill the vacuum. 4. There are good risks and bad risks. Sports betting and online forex will leave the average participant poorer. 6. Many people dont understand maths and probability, so they don't understand the magnitude of the risk. 7. A small price to pay for the dramatic improvements we expect to see in the business, sports and investment sections. 8. It's a false succour that makes the poor even poorer by taking their time and also their money. 6 Likes 3 Shares |

Seun:I know it is annoying to see the sports business and investment sections littered with sport betting stuffs. But ban sport betting from nairaland is wrong and not the right step. What you need to do is to create a section for the betting guys to do their thing. Move all betting threads on other sections to the new section. This way business section will be strictly for business, sports section will contain only sports thread, investments will only attract investment thread and the new section(sport betting) will be strictly for punters. 7 Likes |

Seun:I support your notion. This same reason we preach that betting is a sin, because it's important to understand some concepts of sin. God hates things done that are evil, things that affects us, health wise, loses etc. But people who claim to be serving God still won't accept it's a sin because they're vastly carried away with worldly wisdom that don't understand how those lusts of the world sway their hearts to crave money at all costs, even to the lose of other people. Oga seun, me i know you might have counter ideas about Him "God" but no be that one be the centre here now. This is my own say to the bans. Support it 100%ly. |

Seun: Mr Seun, in as much as i believe you feel you are doing the right thing, it is not. You are sending a wrong signal to nairalanders who if you have forgotten are the real pillars of this forum. This is a public forum and I believe anyone who signs up here comes to seek information and partake in discussions in every ramifications (as long as it is not criminally inclined). Banning FOREX and sport betting would just be a tip of the iceberg if you really want to embark of this purging/redemption mission of yours. Romance section for instance is full of perverts promoting fornication and all sorts of moralities, Autos and Phones sections has its own umbrella of scammers, so we would also expect you to extend your sanitation to every corner of nairaland , that is if this purging of yours is truly about morals. 5 Likes |

A little diversion. Meanwhile, somewhere on nairaland; unleashing of boobs, baring of cleavages, showing off 'hot outfits', flaunting of curves is being promoted and put on frontpage. ...and someone that thinks it is wise to ban legitimate businesses because it takes their money surprisingly does not think it is wise to ban moral degrading and unworthy news piece/s like these. How funny |
Re: Banning Forex Trading And Sports Betting Promotion by donbrowser(m): 4:08pm On May 09, 2016 |
Seun:And your banning it will completely prevent people from throwing their money away on Nairaland? In Nigeria? And every other part of the world. How has your ban discouraged the throwing away of money in the past few days? You need to do a survey and follow results according when taking decisions like this. Instead of looking for ways to make people see the bad side of Forex and Punting, instead of making them hate it completely, instead of attacking and discouraging these stuffs with quality articles on your blog, instead of creating a special section for forex traders and bettors and tag them appropriately to carry the tag like you did in the Islamic section. You didnt do any of these but opted for banning. The greates you could have made on this forum would have been deleting the two giants forum leaving you with only the sexuality section to feed on. I like and support your view but i totally disregard and would never support your approach. Nice day ahead sir. 2 Likes |

Seun: Seun am with you on this. Please ban sport betting .... Instead of creating a section for it on front page, hide it inside business section or sport section just like .... You hide sexuality inside romance section. They sport betting has a way of destroying or delaying of one's future plans. With their system one can never move forward in life, it either ruin or keep one stagnant in life. The system is designed to give hope to the youth that the will win big. At the end of it they will lose and keep playing to recover thier loses. They keep chasing an imaginary cash and generating new tactics but still fail woefully. Those comparing tobacco company and sport betting are just ignorant. Who takes smoking as an investment? Please seun if possible take those lotto's thread out of the business section .... The placing is becoming an eye sour. That is business section not gambling or las Vega for Christ sake. Even those betting site will advice thier punter to take betting as fun not business. The question is, how many people bet for fun? Business section is not a place for fun.... And beside gambling is not business. 10 Likes 5 Shares |

9/10 times you always carry out your proposed decisions regardless of the opinion of the majority, so I don't know why people still bother commenting on these sort of threads you create. I'm sure you know about Reddit Mr Seun. That site has sections and subsections for anything you can think about. The funny thing is you never proposed bans on topics and sections when you were less successful, but seeing that there are no worthy rivals, you deemed it fit to convert to a monastery. I don't even gamble, but you have no business interfering in everything your site members are interested in. It's even interesting that as enlightened as you are, you could wake up one morning and decide to ban a legitimate venture, but hypocritically enough, absolutely immoral threads still grace the front-page, even though many registered members are younger than 18. Someone like you would censor the press if you had the might. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

The high and mighty displaying their power. . . Seun pls. .u cant tell me that you are trying to be responsible for people's decision on wealth building, are you? I have been an investor for the past 3 years, i've won and lost, i've used this forum as well as other free informative sites out there and i cant recall anytime i need a site owner to tell about the existence of scammers. . T.a.l.k.n.a.i.r.a is far volatile than this site, yet, a matured investor should know what is real and what is not. . Oga seun, the truth is, only you and your close pals knows the real reason for you decision, i dnt give a f***, its your business, do what you like but stop selling some cheap reason cos many matured onlookers can tell black from grey 3 Likes |
