A lot has happened over the last few years . We have seen fights in syria the annexation of crimea by russia Catalunya cry to be freed from spain sudan breaking up and co
Well in nigeria we have seen our versions of up and down none though as bad as 1967 civil war .I may not have been alive then but videos and oral explanations have shown that it is not an experience to have had . But one thing I learnt from the war was the strength of the igbo clan it never mattered to them how bad or how deafening their odds where they gave it their all it brings to remembrance the words of Chinua achebe in his last books "and there was a country" where he described d will and inner strength of an igbo man. And truly he was right, 90% of all the igbo people I have had the chance of meeting exude this strength they will never beg, never back down this was totally evident throughout the war with no military and political backing a situation that was supposed to be a police raid turned out to be an all out war spanning years. in all my life as a nigerian I am yet to come across an igbo begger truth is they have always been dreamers always been able to see themselves succeed and that's why u have so many of them with shops and innovative ventures around the country they will not wait for the job to come to them they run after the job. With this in mind it is no wonder why the igbo race have taken it upon themselves to free themselves from this nation nigeria and form their own.
Why am I against this
Because as Nigerians we have a point to prove not just to ourselves but to the outside world, truthfully we have tried its no more news that America and the so called western countries have doomed us to fail , they have said that nigeria cannot hold I still remeber a ducumentary on the nigerian civil war whereby some documents where leaked showing how they had supported both sides in the war using dying nigerians as a source to make money. I believe in one nigeria I believe that we can make it work if we all come together and put our minds and hearts in this nation wether our leaders do well or not if we the masses choose to believe that we can do it then we can.
We in nigeria can prove that u don't need to be from the same background or the same religion that two or more different people can work together to make the country great . U know whenever I doubt I look at the nigerian team whenever I watch a match it doesn't mater whether its ahmed musa or victor moses that scores it doesn't matter wether the player who scored is a muslim or christian all u see will be nigerians shouting and rejoicing not because it was an igbo or yoruba or housa that scored but because it was nigeria that did so .

Ops what exactly do you want..

Can't you be a man for once and learn to stand without surport?

Let Igbos go, Yorubas has had enough. .

Yorubas are better of alone!

There so many thriving countries with population of less than 10million and they are very fine..

My only problem with the actualisation of Biafra is the leadership system to be used. If we can adopt a Parliamentary System of government, fine. But for one man to outrightly dictate the affairs of the entire Igboland as in Monarch or President, even God know say that one no go work grin
Re: A Letter To Biafrans by freeze001(f):
So it's because of an indecipherable point to prove to the outside world that a people should not exercise their inalienable right to self-determination? So there's no persuasive reason from within to remain in this union?

Op...go and do some more work and come up with something more substantial cos right now, you have only produced empty words lacking in substance.

Knowing our egalitarian nature and having tasted that dictatorial mode of leadership as part of Nigeria, I do not expect we would make that kind of mistake.

[color=#0000 99] Abi o jare!!!

This unholy Union hasn't worked in over half a century and it's obvious with the situation on the ground presently that it won't work in a million years of Sundays.

In fact, I make bold to assert that every group (within the nation) will thrive better on their own and not only the Yorubas.

However, due to their innate fear of the Unknown, our myopic and inept politicians are unwilling to chart a new course for their people .

The Igbo never do well with kings.
All present day kings and chiefs are successful men buy the position for ridiculous sums of money and vast generosity to his people. A democratically elected president is what u will find and in d early day he will be obeyed until he begins to do what the people disapprove of then he must go.
The Igbo Soviet where all are equal was the best in pre-colonial era

Nigeria is actually the most ethnically diverse country in the world.
Nigeria is the only country in the world with an almost equal muslim and christian population.
Nigeria is the only country in the world with three majority ethnic nations.

Other countries that used to be like Nigeria have all divided. FacT#

We cannot continue like this. We need to divide, it is for the best.
The militancy, Boko haram, fulani herdsmen, etc. Are all problems that occur because Nigeria is one country.

The cost of our unification is too expensive. We just need to let go.
