Not less than 800 members of the Boko Haram group are currently undergoing vocational skills training in form of amnesty under the supervision of the office of the Chief of Defence Staff, CDS.


Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Alhaji Sani Sidi who dropped the hint today in Abuja, explained that the programme under which repentant Boko Haram insurgents are being rehabilitated tagged: “Safe Corridor Initiative", was conceived purposely to provide a leeway for them to turn a new leaf.

I read this news a while ago. Are they simply going to release these people into the society like that?
No punishment for their crime, no mental examination of their sanity?
Seeing the way people happily part with their money every Sunday and continue to argue that they are not being scammed by their pastors, it is easier to rehabilitate a born kleptomaniac than a religiously brainwashed ideologue.

Buhari said so 3yrs ago when he refused to condemn boko boys was quick to condemn GEJ for killing instead of giving them amnesty like ND millitants.

Nigeria is doomed to fail,can't we see the writing on the wall or are we all blind..Naija delta miltants got amnesty even tho they fought for a just course but amnesty to them wasn't necessary now evil men that just killed thousands for no reason is now getting amnesty..I'm still wondering what stops some youths that the government have rendered jobless from caring arms,because in destruction of life and property the government will surely take you serious.
