Domestic Violence: My Advice For Men by StarboyMichael(op): 4:17am On May 10, 2016
From my Barrister Friend.

I have been reading and following the news and development as per the latest reported case of domestic violence that led to the death of a woman in Lagos. Although I am not not a "relationship expert", however, I know that whenever issue like this happens, the man who killed his wife can never be innocent or excused. The reason is simple, the person who is dead is no longer capable of defending herself against any allegations. And there is no justification for killing your wife or girlfriend. Even provocation is not an excuse.
Therefore, my advice for men is that, no matter the provocation, never raise your hand against a woman, be it your wife, girlfriend or whatever. The moment you do, you lose all moral right to make your case and you also run the risk of committing murder. There is nothing stopping you as a man from walking or running away from a woman who is making life unbearable for you. If an argument is degenerating, apply the "silence principle" and if that is not working, run away at that moment and if she continues to make life unbearable for you afterwards, quit the relationship or file for divorce if you are married. Don't allow a woman to make you kill her before your eyes are open. Remember that beating or killing someone can never make you right. It will only turn you into a monster. Don't allow women NGOs and activists whose homes or relationships are not even better than yours, use you as one of their statistics.
Finally, the truth is that men need prayers these days because evil women abound. Women that will "doing" their man or husband and be fanning him. Women that have been sent from hell to make a man's life miserable. The prayer is, may we not fall victims of such women. In fact, may we not meet such women. May we never meet a woman that will turn us into monsters or killers. Amen
