what we need now is for neighborhood roads to be tared.

Lagos State is no doubt the economic hub of Nigeria. The state government should be lauded achieving over N100b in IGR in 2015 despite the economic doldrums. I think the Lagos economic team should school other states with total dependence on the central government to run their affairs. God bless Nigeria!

Great news and development.

I have a question thou; why connect Island to Island? won't it be far reaching and impactful if it connects mainland to island?
I think that is already covered in the first phase. At iganmu, you can see pillars in the lagoon headed towards CMS.

I wonder why everything is centered around the island. Whatever happened to the mainland. I live on the mainland and im tired of driving.

This is what happens when you vote people who believe in development.
Cross River state with Ayade seems to understand this too.

Relative comparative GDP/economy ratio to sister states and other countries; not the environment.

e.g. if California were a country, it'd be the 8th or thereabout richest country in the world by nominal GDP, likewise if Lagos were a country, it'd be the 7th or thereabout richest country in Africa by nominal GDP.
3rd richest according to GDP.

While the west are creating enabling environment for foreign investors and increasing in monthly gdp, some people are busy polluting their land and chasing away prospective Investors all because of their hatred for the president.
Buhari will 'come and go' but the damage you have done to your soil will remain for a very long time.
If Nigeria eventually split out of all these tribulations, I wonder what will be your faith. No soil for agriculture, no clean water for fishing, no foreign investors (they will surely move their investment to the west and east, knowing there is room for more oil discoveries across these regions). You might be left with nothing than to leave your faith in the hands of the Israelites.
Then it might be too late, and your case might be that of WHO SEND YOU.

And port-harcourt monorail is an abandoned project just because some people's hatred for themselves is above their love for development and the masses. God save rivers

Why are you talking to the SS when it's the North that has been on a killing spree for at least the past 50 years?
SS is my catchment and you can not love my home more than me.

If there is peace in SS why are the foreign businesses reluctant to site their quarters and offices there as in the past?

My People should realise development comes with some compromise.

I trust someone would still come out to differ.

Your choice.

I don't know everything. But I know development when I see it.

Why VI and Ikoyi?

another Elitist project to cater for them them...why not ajah? or ikorodu?

with a car, you dont have a problem commuting to ikoyi and VI...if you want to solve a problem...create smooth transport to problematic traffic areas!

Am from jos, but I can loudly say it that,
NO REGION IS MORE PREPARED AND WELL ESTABLISHED LIKE THE WEST IF NIGERIA EVENTUALLY SPLIT. THEY HAVE GOT EVERYTHING IN PLACE.
TOURISM
ENTERTAINMENT
TRADE
INDUSTRIES
EDUCATION
AGRICULTURE
TOLERANCE (RELIGIOUS AND ETHNIC)
NOW OIL
EVEN GOVERNANCE.
TO CROWN IT ALL THEY HAVE GOT LAGOS WHICH SERVES AS THE HEADQUARTERS OF SO MANY MULTINATIONAL COMPANIES IN NIGERIA AS THE POTENTIAL CAPITAL.
I LOVE THE WEST, I ADMIRE THEM ALOT.

Lagos State is not for the elites alone even if most Lagosians end up living like one.

There are many projects across the state that gives some semblance of good governace.

I know it is far from perfect but trust me there are many individuals who would have been given the reins of governance in Lagos who would have bungled it.

What is sad is the people would not have known better.

Delta state for instance should have been a mecca of sorts for business and leisure.

Take a look at it today and tell me Delta state is working.

brother our problem is our diverse ethnic groups in ss. SW comprises of states with one language and culture. Same goes for SE and N. Only rivers state has about 10 tribes with different languages and culture. That is why it's easy for them to manipulate us. That is why it is easy for us to turn against each other. That is why we cannot have a common goal and look past our ethnic group to vividly see the problem. That is why we deny one another and are selfish, greedy, and self-centered towards our own. We need a new generation with a different mindset because our current leaders left a wrong path for us to follow.

I THINK ITS TIME TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE MAILAND TOO NOT TO CONCENTRATE ON LEKKIS AXIS ONLY. I AM USING THIS OPPORTUNITY TO CALL GOVERNMENT OF AMBODE TO HELP FIX ALL BAD ROADS IN OJOKORO,IJAIYE AXIS ESPECIALLY,ADETOLA ROAD THAT LINK OLANIYI ROAD WHICH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ROAD IN THAT AREA. THE PEOPLE IN THIS AREA ARE PASSING THROUGH HELL AND ITS AS IF THIS AREA IS NOT PART OF LAGOS. UNFORTUNATELT, OJOKORO LCDA IS NOT ALSO DOING ANYTHING AT ALL ABOUT THE ROAD MENTIONED ABOVE.

Why not in other parts of Lagos like Ojo, Alimosho, etc? They are putting the ice on a cake that doesn't need icing. The infrastructural deficit and uneveness in Lagos is tragic! That's why the centre is always choking, because people would naturally move to where there's infrastructure.
Places like Ojo should have been opened up for infrastructural development since to absorb the teeming population in places like Lagos Island Surulere, Festac etc..

I can't laugh about the arm robbering going well on in Lagos. Lagos started the rail before calabar, enugu and port Harcourt same distance, but lagos have not finish their rail. While the others are enjoying the rail

That's something the educated and open minded amongst us need to preach against.

Politicians are the greatest divisors and their modus operandi is well known.

Countering them whilst preaching love should lead us somewhere.

We must succeed.
