The Ogun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been divided into three factions, Naij.com can authoritatively report.

Three executive officers emerged at the state PDP Congress as factions organised theirs separately.

One group is being led by the Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District,Prince Buruj Kashamu while the other two are led by the former Speaker, House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole and Hon. Ladi Adebutu,present lawmaker representing Remo federal constituency.

At the separate Congress held today at three different venues in Abeokuta,the State capital, three different Chairmen were emerged in the party.

They are; Chief Wale Egunleti, Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele and Engr. Bayo Dayo.
The former Chairman,who was suspended from office last week,Engr. Bayo Dayo was re elected into office from the Kashamu led faction.

The Congress was held at the party Secretariat,along IBB Boulevard,Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.
Leaders of the party in the State sighted at the Congress include the Senator representing Ogun East,Buruj Kashamu, Mr Segun Seriki,State lawmakers under the party led by the State Chief Whip, Wale Alausa.

The other faction,which is being led by the lawmaker representing Remo federal constituency, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu had their Congress at the main hall of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, OOPL,Abeokuta.
He is a biological son of the popular business mogul,Sir Kensington Adebukanla Adebutu,a.k.a. ‘Baba Ijebu’.
At the end of the election,which was held under right security,the former Chairman of Ifo local government and a governorship aspirant in the last general election in 2015,Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele was elected as the party State Chairman.
Some of the party chieftains with the group include the former deputy governor, Alhaja Salmot Badru,a former federal lawmaker,Hon. Jelilli Kayode Amusan,Chief Mrs Iyabo Apampa,Elder Yomi Akinwonmi,Evang. Olusoji Eweje, Prince Lekan Tejuoso among others.
The other group which is being led the former Speaker,House of Representatives, RT. Hon. Dimeji Bankole has its members assembled at the Ake palace, Ake, Abeokuta for their Congress.

Despite the heavy down pour early in the morning,members defied the rain and came out enmasse to participate in the Congress.
At the end of the election,Chief Wale Egunleti was elected the State Chairman with a former member of the House of Representatives, who represented Ijebu Central Federal constituency between 1999-2003,Hon. Wale Ogunbanjo elected as the State Deputy Chairman.
A former state lawmaker,Olu Fatoki was elected as the State Secretary with Giwa Mufutau Oseni,a former Chairman,Ijebu Ode local government elected as the Vice Chairman,(Ogun East).

Some of the G-15 lawmakers during the administration of Otunba Gbenga Daniel,like Job Akintan,Abiodun Akovoyon,Olu Fatoki,Michael Fasinu.
Others are the former Chairman of Ijebu Ode local government, Giwa Mufutau Osen
Recall that two PDP governors in southwest Nigeria, Ayo Fayose and Olusegun Mimiko have settled their differences ahead of the party’s national conventionon May 21 in Port Harcourt. The two came together during the PDP southwest leaders meeting in Akure today, May 4.
