nkemjacob2:It depends on the establishment you're applying the job. My candid advice is that you should contact someone from the human resource department of that organisation to know their most prefered pattern of application. Generally, most organisations would prefer hand written application to computer-typed. The most important thing is your gramatical accuracy and eligibility of the letter. |

Thought I once heard that application letters must always be handwritten, have this changed? All my life I have never submitted a typed application letter, (I haven't submitted much anyway). Well now we are in computer age shaa, I guess any will be accepted, but personally if I am an employer I will prefer handwritten. |

Do what the recruiter says. Some still prefer handwriting because they use it to access your personality. I would prefer typed letters as it saves the stress of reading bad handwritings. |

All these people saying Typed ' Most employers use typed Application letter as a basis for disqualifying applicants especially when you are submitting manually. If you have a very good handwriting, I'd say handwritten is the best because it delivers a message of competency and proficiency . HR's will relate better |

It all depends on where the letter is going or the type of job you are applying for. When applying in a reputable company or organization, you can do well to type it.what if you are applying for a lecturing job and they said submit written application,is it typed or handwritten they want? cc:Nobody |
