todayboy:We support there legitimate claims but don't support pipeline vandalism. We want resource control but there has to be a better way of making our voices heard. |

ganisucks:Tonye is a true ND, you are the one that is a scam, am sure u are ipob, no tru ND support the bombing of pipeline, I am from warri and that I know for sure. Am very sure ipobs, tompolo, and some rich men been prosecuted by efcc such as dasuki and metuh has a hand in this. From the post this has notin to do with the militant. Shell is already repairing forcasdo gas pipeline if they are buoyant enough they should go and blow it up again. |

manny4life:It can never affect me and thats the fact. I know you well on this forum and know you will surely support the blowing up since you hate the President. GEJ was President for 5 years, there was no noise from some so called scavengers, why making noise now? They can continue to blow it up, it will affect all the people living in Nigeria. Simple case. |

kumakunta:It is negotiable, there are MANY practical examples out there, we're just not being truthful with ourselves. And who exactly make up the economy? What are the components of the economy? What makes Nigeria? Answer these questions and you realize that you're not too far away from the truth. We're not facing economic crisis because that's what the system gives us, but we're facing it because of regional imbalance in distribution of wealth. The issue plaguing Greece is an economic issue, what we have before us a regional/tribal issue that's affecting our economy. We can only resolve it by first and foremost, making sure our foundation is well solid because we're people of different tribes. |

Dear Nairalanders.... don't take this news seriously cos right now I'm in Idaho Field, the leakage has nothing to do with the NDA, the current oil leakage was caused by a drilling rig at the field... Our vessel was pulled out from BOP field to complement other vessels (For FiFi watch) in the field to help contain the oil spillage...as at now extensive work is going on now. Moreover, even though the Oil field is an open field, there are two to three security boats patrolling the field, it's a tough task for NDA to damage any of the lines in the field (These lines are buried deep down the sea bed) ExxonMobil has not shut down any operations... Crude oil lifting is ongoing in other ExxonMobil fields like Yoho, BOP, Ekpe, USAN etc But Naija media can report things sha ![]() |

MrTruth4real:That troll is a male hiding behind a female to cause confusion. He wants the NDA to blow up everywhere since he believe it will help them actualize there biafra. |

socialmediaman:Most of the people rejoicing about this are not necessarily from the zone concerned, the rejoicing is purely political; they believe they are sabotaging buhari's govt, just as bokoharam messed GEJ's govt up. What they do not consider is that unlike bokoharam which mainly affected north easterners, economic sabotage of this nature will render everyone penniless, and the adverse effects will be more on the middle and lower class across Nigeria, not the political class who have already looted enough to last them several lifetimes. I have a friend and former classmate who works as a field technician for an oil servicing coy in bayelsa, he hasnt been working for several months now because of some problems in some Agip locations where he works; these are sadly the real people who bear the brunt of these disturbances, absolutely not the political elite. I am tempted to think the people making some of these comments are youngsters who dont feed families, but it would be sad if I'm wrong. |

flokii:I don't know what they want and honestly, and frankly speaking, I wish I knew all the details but they released a list of about 20 items they want the govt to comply with one of which is regional control of resources. Am I saying that the govt should accept their demands, not really but am I asking Buhari to employ dialogue and at least, listen to them, definitely. Nigeria is still dependent on oil, and as for many who think Oil is going anytime soon, think again. Life is not fair in general but guess what, if life offers you lemons, you make lemonade out of it. WELCOME to the new Nigeria. |

manny4life:The problem now is.. Other regions have oil (some SW states).. Even North are hoping to find soon And you know what it means.. They (SS) would be d one at loss in d end, no facilites, no fishing, no companies, no work, no free money etc. etc. Why didn't they give GEJ conditions? It all boils down to hate.. We know already, payback for what they did to GEJ |

ganisucks:You almost made sense until I saw the bolded part. PMB, Governors, Ministers, Commissioners, Legislators, Judiciary etc have access to constant power supply 24/7: it is citizens that will bear it including the militants and their environment. Remember that when a bird perches a rope, the rope will not witness comfort while the bird will never experience peace: a word is enough for a wiseman. |

flokii:Quote one thing the Niger delta are enjoying now that we have all the companies in Niger delta They have nothing to loss they have lost everything already The only job in the creek is militancy for now and it's so bad how the government have made the citizenry so ungovernable because of greed |
| Re: Niger Delta Avengers: Exxon Shuts Down Oil Operations by manny4life(m): 8:13pm On May 13, 2016 |
Poweredbreww:Lmao.. Since you know me real well, how about you dig through my post and post for all to see where I've canvassed support for them blowing up pipelines... And if you're not able to do that, then quit the bullshit...I really don't care what you think of me, it's irrelevant to this discourse. I don't have to like someone before I like their policies but in this case, I don't like Buhari and his policies and I have very good reasons for my choice which I won't delve into. If you think it won't affect you, then stop giving yourself headache. |

Sunnymatey:Why should you enjoy it? Instead they are planning to pass the grazing bill, so the north will perpetually oppress the rest of us. Take what belongs to you anyway you can. Nigeria as it is today is a fraud. Simple. |

todayboy:Even d idea of militancy is flawed.. They became lazy Didn't want to work.. Just get paid and live large Buh then you must consider cost of production, equipments, manpower etc. d companies face to get d oil out They even started scholarship scheme for them to grow and have say buh NO.. All they want is amnesty money. Whose fault? It's a natural something really.. Just geography coincidence. The oil could av been anywhere.. It doesn't mean they should carry it on their head and feel too important We av countries without oil fairing better than Nigeria.. So wat's d bragging about |

flokii:No matter the amount of oil found throughout the rest of Nigeria, my statistic may be inaccurate BUT I want to say at least 70% of Nigeria's crude is collectively from the SS. 70% of our FOREX is from crude sales. In other words, even at max production of 2.2 million bpd at the price we're currently exporting at, Nigeria is still facing financial challenges, now imagine when there's reduced production, do the math and tell me what you have. Therefore, oil from other states can barely feed the nation let alone finance large obligations...FACT. |

Fabulosdave01:David read and comprehend my post before you quote me...I'm against militancy, I'm again amnesty....I'm also against awarding oil blocks politically. I see the oil in my backyard as a national resource, but let the masses feel the impact...let the indigenes get a feel. Take and give. You won't talk with tongue in cheek if you were from the ND. |

Sunnymatey:The state governments of the Niger Delta will suffer more from this exodus than the FG. Even with 13% derivation, Bayelsa is unable to pay salaries. Now imagine what will happen without. The FG on the other hand can afford to source for funds through other means - presently, it relies ob oil for less than 30% of its expenditures. Na the states I pity most. |
