Thank you your view is that of a critical thinker please ask them what did President Buhari do to those criminals and kidnappers that they decided to blow the pipelines do you get what you want by shooting yourself in the foot this bombing of pipeline will not work this time President Buhari is a true commander in chief of the armed forces he is not a yaradua or goodluck jonathan he will deal with those terrorist accordingly under Nigerian law in due time a crime not punished today doesn't mean it won't be punished in the near future? It is a conspiracy of the Braced States the president should hold the governors of those states accountable as they are the Chief security officers of their states and ask them what do they do with the huge security votes they get every month, who are the local government chairmen and youth leaders of that senate constituency?Serieke Dickson has warned those avengers not to forget what happened in Odi. Then you expect investors to bring their dollars to come and investment in the region.
Buhari may not be able to do anything about it, Nigeria doesnt have the security apparatus to prevent or forestall things like this. But then, does it really make any sense for NDA to keep blowing up infrastructure and impoverishing everyone?.... anyone that thinks Buhari is the victim here must really be unwise.

‪#‎OCCUPYINGMINDS‬: ‪#‎NIGERDELTAMILITANTS‬...Every time a Crude Flow Station is Destroyed by Militants in the Niger Delta, The Environment is Damaged; Our Land is Polluted and Our Communities are subjected to more hardships...Let the Bombing Continue, who will lose?...The Government of PMB is dragging the Nigerian Economy away from Crude Oil; Lagos State has Joined the League of Oil Producing States and the Northern Part of Nigeria whose Reserves have been cynically suppressed over the years will begin production within the next months to two years. With time, We from the Niger Delta would have destroyed our Lands so much that future generation will curse us their Fathers and Mothers for killing their dreams. Let the Stupidity Continue my People...Don't stop the blowing up of pipelines.
Everyone of us thinks that a Blown Pipeline is an attack on PMB and His Government of Change...Insanity on display I must say. Kano and Lagos are Leading the way in Tomatoes Paste Production and Tomatoes don dey scarce shebi? The Northern Landmass alone is about 4 times the entire Landmass of the SS and the SE; Agriculture will revolutionize the North within the next decade...We from the Niger Delta will use our Oil to soak Garri and we think we are punishing Nigeria? Think Again, but Kontinu.
I have been reliably informed, that the More Pipeline we blow-up, the more the Resolve of this President to get the Nigerian Economy off oil...The More the Presidency blocks loopholes; The More the desire for alternative Revenue; The More the Nigerian People get pissed off by our Stupidity. The Future is Lost to the Greedy, Selfish Demons of Today. Blow Pipelines if you can, Nigeria is moving on. We have a President who is capable of making the hard decisions and willing to firmly sustain those hard choices. Blow Pipelines abeg. Let Nigeria Suffer and Let our land be wasted. Kontinu killing your own future by your own hands.
WEEP NOT FOR THE NIGER DELTA!!!
OUR ENEMIES ARE WITHIN!!!

The last time I checked, the oil money in Nigeria is shared and consumed by the rich (irrespective of tribe or religion or political links) even whilst the poor continue to wallow in their poverty; it has always been a Rich vs Poor battle, but divisive politicians have succeeded in brainwashing the ever gullible, educated but illiterate masses to think this has anything to do with tribe.

Now from your comment, I assume you are from either the SE or the SS? and i assume you are happy about the crippling of the oil industry because you believe this would deprive fulanis and yorubas who presumably take all the gains from the industry?

First of all, it is quite ignorant to assume that the 2 tribes you mentioned are the biggest gainers from the oil industry; the last time I checked, the 3 big Nigerian tribes are ably represented in the feast table where Nigeria's resources are shared from regime to regime. Being ignorant of this fact is the first evidence of an unfortunate mass tribal brainwash.

Secondly, the microscopic few elite of these big tribes (and also minority tribes) who may own oil blocks and who feed fattest from the oil industry, these people make up less than 0.000001% of the population and even if the conduit is cut-off, these microscopic few elite already have enough to last them 3 lifetimes. Now who are the real victims if you kill the oil industry?... The real victims are the millions of ordinary people closest to facilities and the offices. If you've ever been to or lived in an oil city like Warri or PH, you would understand how over 90% of the population of these towns directly and indirectly feed off the oil industry; bus drivers, okada men, hotel owners, mama-put owners, security men, caterers, even ashawos and to the direct staff and contractors of these companies.

Someone who has lived in a city like warri before and after the exit of a giant like Shell can testify to the colossal impact of these companies on the livelihoods of millions of people who make up the population of these cities. Only an ignorant fellow would think the main victims of a destruction of the industry would be the microscopic few elites from faraway who own blocks and who have already secured 3 lifetimes.
If only all yorubas, hausa and fulanis were as reasonable as you are. Trust me, the ego start those destructive operations start right from the internet. The way most of you comment is enough to drive somebody mad.

Dear Nairalanders.... don't take this news seriously cos right now I'm in Idaho Field, the leakage has nothing to do with the NDA, the current oil leakage was caused by a drilling rig at the field... Our vessel was pulled out from BOP field to complement other vessels (For FiFi watch) in the field to help contain the oil spillage...as at now extensive work is going on now.

Moreover, even though the Oil field is an open field, there are two to three security boats patrolling the field, it's a tough task for NDA to damage any of the lines in the field (These lines are buried deep down the sea bed)

ExxonMobil has not shut down any operations... Crude oil lifting is ongoing in other ExxonMobil fields like Yoho, BOP, Ekpe, USAN etc

But Naija media can report things sha undecided
Thanks for sharing the info sir. That's the handwork of a traffic-hungry blogger. Misleading people on a sensitive issue as this.

I agree but that is not what this is about. If it was there was no better time than the last 5 years to fix it the highest oil prices in our history and an Ijaw man as president .Why are we not asking what they did? Why are we not holding Ibori and Odilia and Akpaio and Orubebe to account? Is it now that oil price has crashed that the problem will be solved?

Let us not use headache medicine for cancer.

The only way things can be different is to break the country up. So if that is what people want to do let them fight for that.At current production levels there are 30 years of oil left in the ground and about 5 of that will go on existing debt. If we fight another war those selling arms to both sides will probably take another 10 years. Oil will not solve our problems in Nigeria so people need to stop kidding themselves. Even when we have oil we only use it to consume imports and there is nowhere in Nigeria that is prosperous let us tell ourselves the truth

most of what you said is correct but i wanna add some info, the yorubas and hausas are the biggest beneficiaries of the oil revenue since 1960, 90% of oil blocs are owned by them, 85% of jobs in the oil industry belong to them, even in my state Akwa ibom; 90% of staffs in Mobil are yorubas . Now tell me how is that fair... Will you be happy to be in our shoes? The answer is no..
Until we stop/reduce tribalism in this country nothing will go well...

Oil is in the south but the head offices of these oil firms are in Lagos and Abuja...

We in the south we want others to enjoy our resources not for us to be starved from our reseources just because we are the minority...
What do you think is responsible for Yoruba and not Hausa being 90% of Mobil staff, which is not a Nigerian-owned company and OBJ has only being the Yoruba President this country has produced in it's almost 56 years of Independence while the Northerners have ruled for much longer?

Why are these Avengers not questioning people like Dickson who despite receiving 13% derivation and being the smallest state in the SS population-wise too, have refused to pay salaries for going to 6 months thereby impoverishing their people. Alas they will praise him instead, just like they praised Alams despite stealing their future away.

Tonye the fight is for oil...oil in your backyard...you think if there was no oil the coys will be there in the first place?

There's no need trying to score points. The points will take you no where.

If they relocate, the oil will still be in the ground..assets for future generation....can you compare it to the gains now?

To solve the issue of militancy, the government should take steps to solve issues in the ND. Firstly, nobody should own oil blocs...it should strictly be operating companies.
If this OYEL happens to be in the core North, I bet you, No Southerner will own an oil block there.

Currently Northerners controls and own 90% of oil blocks in Niger Delta.

Who is talking about 13% derivation? ? did u by any chance see the list of oil blocs owners( allocated) on the other thread? ? now compare how many millions of barrel sold a day and how much goes into those pockets who are not Niger deltans.

You expect them to be happy managing little I the plenty God has given them because we have a fulani/Hausa northern as president.
