Reading the back and forth arguments going on about this report, I need to make an observation. I think this report is more about economic security than freedom from crime and violence.
The report is basically saying that there is less poverty in the south east than in any other region in Nigeria. There should be no doubt about that because the south east commands the highest income per capita. Reasons for that are obvious.
The report is definitely not about the level of crime in each region but about the level of poverty.
This is good news for the south east. I hope this encourages the SE governors to even do better than they are doing now.

The Igbo is already dominating in a bigger market called Nigeria. They are one of the biggest stakeholders in this big market. Why will they wish to go to a smaller one, where they will pay custom duties to export their products etc. You should be proud that Azikiwe an Igbo man is one of the founding fathers of this big market. No one destroys his own.

To a large extent, you are correct. But when you are Igbo, you are always reminded of the near impossibility of attainment the of your full potentials in a Nigeria as presently constituted. There seems to be policies aimed at stopping the Igbos from growing in Nigeria.

Some people are desperately trying to overheat IGBOLAND by causing security threats by invading our farmlands while the government in the centre does nothing. The police is supervising the murders and arresting Igbo men with arms while allowing other attackers to kill Igbos in their homes.

This is why I have no hope in a united Nigeria.

Do you know that if this were to be an exam you would have failed woefully? The UN report mentioned regions & not states! The last time I checked, Akwa Ibom & Cross River are states within the SS region that comprised other unsafe states like Bayelsa, Rivers & Delta!!
