Freeze took to his IG page to weigh in on the increased petrol price by the Federal Government. Read what he wrote below:

A TORTOISE WITH RIGOR MORTIS ! ! !
The pain of the poor Nigerian at such a time as this is beyond unbearable. I have always supported this government so I took the low 'tortoise' pace of its ruling strategy though unnerving, with optimism, believing that the future is going to be propitious if we can eventually get out of this 'alley'..... However, with the latest hike in petrol prices, the slow paced tortoise has developed rigor mortis, which by definition is 'the stiffness of death'. This fuel increase, will only serve to highlight our harrowing plight, in a country where life prior to this act, was already intolerable.

It's like serving a quit notice to a man whose car was stolen the previous day, after he lost his kids in a fire earlier that week. He had also lost his job a month back, due to depression caused by the discovery that his wife was HIV positive during her autopsy.

There is nothing wrong with removing a subsidy that has been the foundation of the most elaborate corruption scheme in the history of this country. However, is this the best time to do it?

I'm of the humble opinion that when the economic rigor mortis resulting from this fuel hike sets in, and many are faced with the dilemma of choosing between corruption and suffering, a vast majority won't be choosing suffering.

A word like they say, is enough for the wise.

Freeze is right, now is not the best time to engage into pms increment.
The exchange rate of dollars to Naira as shuts many businesses down even no employment for the graduated youths.

Pres. Buhari should atleast do something that will reduce the sufferings of nigerian citizens before going into any increment of fuel price.

God will help us.

This is the best way to describe what the Arabian dullard has done, at least when the ineffectual buffoon did his he backed it up with an increment of minimum wage. The dullard however has done nada he has only tripled the suffering of Nigerians. Now my argument! Ajala the world traveller has been going from pillar to post "strengthening" our economy yet look below this and see the naira falling freely to top it off we are at the hands of independent marketers who source for funds on their own considering this terrible exchange rate it's only a martter of time before it becomes like the great depression in the USA. A bag of rice sold for 17k this morning, there was a country!!!!!!!!!!

We believe that the economic variables points to a major localized self induced by an illiterate and obstinate leader major Economic Depression hitting Nigeria-the most devastating since the American Depression of 1930s-....As it reverberates about our socio-economic lithospere, most Nigerians will run to neighbouring west african nations as economic refugees. A deja vu moment about 'Ghana must go' comes readily to mind...might we have an opposite case of 'Nigeria must go'?!

This is the result of corruption, corruption made Nigeria to be importing fuel for 16 year's without looking inward for local refining to stop importation and subsidies payment.

What stop Nigeria from building a refinery for 16 year's with the Oil boom money!!! CORRUPTION
Re: Freeze Writes On The Increased Fuel Price by laprince(m): 3:38pm On May 14, 2016
As an honest Nigerian, would you choose suffering over corruption at this point?

Especially, when you are at least partially aware of the very reckless spendings of our political class, who are supposed to lead by example: by relinquishing the excess allowances bequeathed to them monthly.

More so, don't forget, the minister of information doesn't owe anyone any explanation as to how he spends money in the ministry. O yes! because he had campaigned with money, so he ought to reap his harvest for the next years to come.

The population of the unemployed and under-employed is far more than those that are substantially employed.

I weep for Nigeria. Long suffering ahead.

I hope we come out of this mess as a better people.

Will mo agree?

Mo knows it's with Pain and agony of labour that beautiful and blessed children spring forth!!!

The streets are mean and almost sickly lean, and this period isn't the best of time but when 30% of earnings is going into something that ONLY a few are cornering for their unborn generations, when will the right time be?.....

People have been going back to forth but someone should draw a scale of preference so we can know what we can let go (Salaries,Infrastructures, raw materials for industries, road rehab, refineries rehab, healthcare etc) if we are going to focus mainly on PMS import with scarce forex earnings.... serious, not kidding.
