This is what the Anambra State capital Awka looked like through the 8 years tenure of the former incompetent governor peter obi who neglected the state capital and virtually every other place in the state and was ruling the state with propaganda.

The remaining thing now is to expand and dualize the inner city roads and Awka will be among the best state capitals Nigeria

Oh so he constructed a road in his 2 year tenure and you call that transformation? No wonder African politicians promise free mosquito nets to their constituents during election time, while you have westerners promising free education, free Healthcare, higher income etc. And don't tell me we can't afford these things. Keep praising your govt for building roads as if they are doing you a favor or they've accomplished the world. You get what you ask for.

so what if he folds he fails to do it like the former governor what will you do to him? If he decides to just steal and not pay salaries to workers citing bad economy like his colleague governors what will you do to him. Learn to appreciate good things when you see one, This is africa and not the west

Maybe he means the expressway expansion with flyovers. Awka has improved but still not like a State capital. Writing based on 1st hand experience from personal visit last month.

[size=13pt]Peter Obi negotiated all those projects with GEJ before handing over to Obiano. Besides, Obiano will be refunded for the massive work done on federal roads.

Thank God for Peter Obi and GEJ for striking the deal. Buhari would not have allowed Anambra to work on a federal road nor even accept to pay refund

This is the propaganda I'm talking about. Projects that were started and completed by obiano from scratch is what Peter obi negotiated? Why hasn't the 2 Niger Bridge also "negotiated" by obi been completed. peter obi ruled 8 years as governor, why didnt he negotiate, start and complete the projects during his ill fated tenure?

Nonsense

So what's wrong with my sincere contribution? I said Awka has improved but still not at per with most State Capitals. I was there last month and compared it with when I was there last in 2013.

Why are you always bitter? Are you not ashamed that Awka has relegated Owerri to the background and now Owerri looks more or less like a rural town. There is no single ambitious infrastructure in Owerri the only town in imo state. Pix speaks more than your frustration can display..cheesy
