You misunderstood the use of the term 'customers'. Mtn lost 1.5 million data subscribers in the 1st quarter of this year.

My friend go back to sleep. There is no 5g on roll out yet anywhere in the world.

In Ghana almost all telecom companies run on 4G.

Google is dere to check the statistics. they are loosing customer in terms of data subscriptions while Glo had the highest data subscriber in the part few months. ask the mtn contacts on your phone if they are really using mtn to browse, No. it's just a primary sim used to call & receive. thank goodness for Android phones that allow dual Sims.
so this is what the guy meant by loosing customer.

there is no need getting a 4g phone yet, we all know LTE services coming from MTN will eventually be expensive, now that even the sole pioneers (smile & NTEL) ain't doing any good with a competitive price to put mtn on the run. wait for the giant competitor (Glo, Airtel & Etisalat) though Etisalat is loosing it. but you can still get your phone sha, if it will still be in good condition when the real competition starts, because right now, mtn wanna recover from their loses(money)

so you can go for infinix hot 3 LTE which is yet to be released; it should be relatively cheap
