IHS is Catholic-term used to denote Jesus grin

"The name “Jesus”, in Greek, is written ιησους which is transliterated as “ihsous” and pronounced iēsous. This is the true meaning of IHS, it is the first three letters of the Greek spelling of the Holy Name of Jesus. The insignia is nothing more (and nothing less) than the symbol of the Holy Name."

The complete vestment is used for celebrating high mass or with a monstrance, but i doubt the legitimacy of the bearer as an ordained Bishop, a high priest.

Anyway, I am listening to Anaedo special from Stephen Osadebe. Amazing song grin

IHS is a latin term meaning Iesous humanus sabatora meaning Jesus himself...

Both Catholics, Anglicans, methodists and co use that insignia though originally a catholic construct.

That regalia is that of an Anglican bishop as a matter of certainty.. there is nothing wrong in his protest though

Nice analysis, but catholic bishops dress differently, you can as well use your research skills here.

I dont want to buttress this point, ordinarily, I would have recommended we move to "religious" or "spiritual" thread on this forum so that we can have a friendly exchange. Since discovered that the character is Youth leader of PDP, i am not taking the issue serious. grin

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) director of new media, Deji Adeyanju, has alleged that the minister of state for petroleum resources Mr Ibe Kachikwu is bribing civil societies and labour leaders to shelve their planned national industrial strike over fuel price hike.
Deji in a series of tweets said a group was paid N150m by NNPC to justify removal of subsidy. He added that the group has started adverts in Radio & TV.

Meanwhile, ahead of the planned national industrial strike by organized labour in Nigeria over the recent hike in pump price of petrol from N86 per litre to N145 per litre, the Federal government has called for a meeting with the leadership of both NLC and TUC.
Recall that over the weekend, organised labour and the civil society gave the Federal Government till midnight on Tuesday to reverse the increase or face an indefinite national strike.
They have started sharing money in Aso Rock to civil society groups and some NLC/ TUC members to frustrate #OccupyNigeria2 . Change ooo.
— Adeyanju Deji (@adeyanjudeji) May 16, 2016
Corruption is fighting back. Kachickwu too is sharing money in NNPC. Don’t defend removal of subsidy for free oo, go & collect your share.
— Adeyanju Deji (@adeyanjudeji) May 16, 2016
Heard a group was paid N150m by NNPC to justify Removal of Subsidy. The group has started adverts in Radio & TV.
Just imagine the rubbish.
— Adeyanju Deji (@adeyanjudeji) May 16, 2016
Ibe Kachikwu sharing Dollars among Labour Leaders, trying to break the ranks of NLC and TUC. These are the jokers fighting corruption. Pity!
— Adeyanju Deji (@adeyanjudeji) May 16, 2016
One of the mandates of the groups they are sharing money to is for them to also mobilize street protests in support of Subsidy Removal.
— Adeyanju Deji (@adeyanjudeji) May 16, 2016
How much will Aso Rock/NNPC give you that will make you to support Removal of Subsidy without any palliatives?
The poor can’t buy for N145.
— Adeyanju Deji (@adeyanjudeji) May 16, 2016
Even if I want 2 support #FuelSubsidy , it can’t be now when a Bag of Rice has moved from N9,000 to N17,000. A basket of Tomatoes now

Use to think that that IHS is an abbreviation for In His Service.
Re: Osogbo Bishop Protests Fuel Price Hike (photos) by echarlz(m): 3:25pm On May 16, 2016
The episcopal ordination of the bishop-elect for the Catholic diocese of Osogbo will hold on the 30th June, 2016... He prolly would join in the protest once he is ordained. Catholic priests have little or no tolerance for bad government policies.
