Hmm. The Minister of Information is now feeling unsettled by his revealed letter, he shouldnt be, he and they (his fellow politicians) are feeling the same dishonesty ,and lack of secrecy they lack too. The revealing of a mere letter shouldnt make him feel unrest and he shouldnt sack innocent people because of it. |

What is there to probe. If you don't have skeleton in your cupboard, then you have nothing to fear. but if you have a lot to hide, then you will be paranoid. |

Useless fantastically corrupt ministers which bubu himself has confirmed. At the end of the day when they cant find answers to their own incompetence they will just look around for any staff who has been openly supporting GEJ or PDP and blame it on the poor chap. I have never seen a worse admistration like this that is just running around in circle. |

I don't think 13m is enough to sponsor a conference of 5-man delegation to China. How much is one business class seat to China? What about Accommodation and Food? Unless we are taking about economy class, I don't see how it is enough for the trip. Therefore we should be looking at the size of the delegation and whether or not the trip is beneficial to our nation ![]() My two cents ![]() |

Just imagine So it's more important probe the leakage rather than give answers why and what the loan is meant for? |

D2diff:daretodiffer...I think the major issue is the minister requesting money or a 'loan' from an organisation within the ministry and overseen by he Minister. It's quite odd... |

why not probe the rationale behind the memo, workers are not paid as reported and yuou expect memo to be secure. This ruling (generation) may be worst than their predecessors. |

D2diff:Public officials have been banned from using business class when on assignments. But if Lai still wanted to flout it, a business class seat to china costs between 600k to 800k depending on airline. Lai is a thief and should be on the gallows... |

| Re: Ministry Probes Lai's Memo Leakage by D2diff: 2:49pm On May 16, 2016 |
I don't think it is odd. I will find it hard to think that a minister or senior level officer can withdraw funds just like that. There should be a process in place. Is this the process in place? If yes, I don't see the big deal. freeze001: |

Security men had not been paid, yet Mr. Lai is making request to loot from contractors and staffs. What a government? |
| Re: Ministry Probes Lai's Memo Leakage by D2diff: 2:51pm On May 16, 2016 |

He has a chief of staff ,a protocol officer.and several other aides to assist him in discharging his duties..even a senator is entitled to a PA and two other aides.which are all funded by the senate |

I laugh in Chinese, when unnamed officials and insiders were giving out information and leaking internal memos concerning the opposition , what did the minister for information do. Absolutely nothing. Sahara reporters has been dishing out what under normal circumstances should be classified info and people have been hailing them for investigative journalism. Once staff know they can leak official info and documents without sanctions they will keep getting bolder. One day they will sell sensitive info that will cause a grave harm to the nation. |
