Nokia CEO ended his speech saying this “we didn’t do anything wrong, but somehow, we lost”.

During the press conference to announce NOKIA being acquired by Microsoft, Nokia CEO ended his speech saying this “we didn’t do anything wrong, but somehow, we lost”. Upon saying that, all his management team, himself included, teared sadly.

Nokia has been a respectable company. They didn’t do anything wrong in their business, however, the world changed too fast. Their opponents were too powerful.

They missed out on learning, they missed out on changing, and thus they lost the opportunity at hand to make it big. Not only did they miss the opportunity to earn big money, they lost their chance of survival.

The message of this story is, if you don’t change, you shall be removed from the competition.

It’s not wrong if you don’t want to learn new things. However, if your thoughts and mindset cannot catch up with time, you will be eliminated.

Conclusion:
1. The advantage you have yesterday, will be replaced by the trends of tomorrow. You don’t have to do anything wrong, as long as your competitors catch the wave and do it RIGHT, you can lose out and fail.

To change and improve yourself is giving yourself a second chance. To be forced by others to change, is like being discarded.
Those who refuse to learn & improve, will definitely one day become redundant & not relevant to the industry. They will learn the lesson in a hard & expensive way.

Nokia they are still the best at making durable phones for third world countries. They will be missed and even their phones are now very expensive to get in the market.

And yet they claimed they did nothing wrong!!!
Refusing to change when others are changing will ultimately put your future in jeopardy. What really killed Nokia is PRIDE, and as the saying goes pride goeth before destruction.

For Christ's sake how many times will this fake story keep coming up?? It was Steve Ballmer, former MICROSOFT (not nokia) CEO who had tears in his eyes, and no he didn't think he'd failed. On the contrary he was giving his farewell speech ending his run as Microsoft CEO. STOP POSTING FAKE TRASH!!!

I waited and dreamt of Nokia Android but it wasn't forthcoming thus I disembarked from the 'Nokia band wagon'. Too bad they didn't catch up with trend, I really enjoyed my days of Nokia phone. Strong phone and durable battery #NoneLikeNokia

Microsoft's greed to take over everywhere killed Nokia. Nokia as a brand thrived only for management recklessness to kill the once vibrant effigy.

With the risk of seeming overly skeptical, I just checked to be sure and I discovered that the alleged 'story' wasn't posted on "Dr Ben Carson's" OFFICIAL page validated by Facebook but on a "Ben Carson" COMMUNITY page obviously created and managed by a fan which is quite common. Stephen Elop, the Nokia CEO allegedly involved in this whole crying story was never teary-eyed at any conference. I don't know where this story came from and who made it up, but it ticks me off that it keeps being posted here and people are innocently being deceived by it. Don't believe every story you come across on the Internet. It does no harm to check and ensure that a story is true or not before posting it, it could spare you a lawsuit in countries with strong laws against online defamation.
