A while back, I made friends with a nairalander on here through rather difficult circumstances. https://www.nairaland.com/3026198/suicide-birthday He was going through a difficult patch and had become very despondent when he opened up on here. Some/ a lot of peeps were supportive and some just spewed their usual poison. Still this gentleman was able to draw strength from the positivity he found on here. He did what he had to do to survive, took on jobs beneath his qualifications ( menial and hard graft), just to provide for his family. He worked hard for very little and kept the faith. Well, he sent me a message yesterday, he has been offered a better job, one that makes use of his talent. And I am so proud and happy for him. To those who had kind words for this fabulous man, THANK YOU. You saved a life, gave a man hope and today that hope is being realised. Endeht, congratulations my adopted bro. The sky is the limit. This is only the beginning. |

I'm just seeing that thread for the first time and really, it's kinda hard to believe you have a shred of humanity in you. Someone who sees nothing wrong in a girl being raised by two gays, Daddy and Daddy. Anyways, I forgive you completely. |

thorpido:He does deserve it. Most times I get angry at the mentality of some people on here but there are also good people in our great country who are present on here. . Warmed the cockles of my heart. |

Thanks for sharing. It is a lovely story and hopefully and uplifting one to those among us who are still struggling. Nothing is impossible if you believe in yourself, have faith and remain optimistic. ![]() |

Mindfulness:You have a way of getting right to heart of the matter. Yes I shared it because often when people share their difficulties, we seldom get to know how things worked out for them in the long run. But I am lucky to know the outcome here, so yes, I'm hoping it would encourage others out there and indeed provide proof to the saying; "whilst there's life, there's hope". |

shaybebaby:You do. It's cool seeing this part of you that I never knew existed. There is still hope, maybe you ain't all that damaged afterall. |

Bolade005:Neither here nor there. You don't know me and I don't know you either. Whilst I may air some of the views I hold on here, in real life, what I disagree with, I avoid. I live and let live. |
