That doesn't give you the right to call them backward. In fact, Edos believe in witchcraft more than Akwa Ibomites.

It is their belief, it doesn't mean they are backward. My mum is from AKS so don't even dare insult them like that.

They are highly educated, warm, accommodating, nice and all that ok.

Thanks.
keep quiet already, who cares where your mum hails from,i have blood affiliations too from aks,but that does not change the fact that their lots are not exposed.

You dated the very local one and mind you there are local people in every tribe. Some tribes can't even pronounce the "H" in "hen" but they can add imaginary "H" in "Adam". Eg the En is howned by Mr Hadam (the hen is owned by Mr. Adam).

Some other tribes mix up "P" and "F" eg I can write with my fen while the pan blows me. (I can write with my pen while the fan blows me).

My mum is from Akwa Ibom and I can tell you that she is quite refined.

Even my late maternal grandma was a registered nurse.

Don't look down on any tribe.

Yes I hate how some of them accuse people of witchcraft indiscriminately but that doesn't give you the right to mock their accent and personalities. Yours may not be better, you just may not notice it.

Thanks.

It is very easy for you to criticise tribes when you have spent all your life under your brown roof.

You need to travel more often.

Cheers.

I won't argue spiritual matters with you.

God bless you.

Baddestguyp:

a familiar is a spirit that mostly comes in form of an animal. all what u wrote is nonsense. they don't come to deceive anyone. they are mostly sent by witches and wizards and magicians to spy

This is the only thing I hate about Akwa Ibom State. They can accuse people of this kind of a thing so easily. The fake pastors are not helping matters.

There was a man whose wife died and he accused his mother of being a witch who killed the wife. He almost harmed the mother but for his elder brother's intervention. Unknown to him, a family member who worked as a midwife at the UNIUYO Teaching Hospital found out from the hospital that his wife died of AIDS related illness. It also happened that the wife was a widow before he married her. As per the cause of death of her first husband, your guess is as good as mine.

That was also how a distant relative of mine told my dad that his step mother killed his 2 young children, that my dad should have the woman arrested and dealt with. My dad told him he would do that but first of all he would want him and his wife to go for medical tests to ascertain if their blood was clean. The man ran!

It is not as if witches do not exist. They do but sometimes people exaggerate.
I just hate all these stories of witches and wizards. Don't believe in them. undecided

They exist but not as much as some people think.

But if you are in Christ you need not fear anything.

"The word of God is a strong tower. The righteous runeth into it and is safe".

There re so many people like that in Uyo frustrating and crippling activities of people around them; I'm a witness to that, I injected 800'000 in my business it sank unaccountably, before I could realise what to suspect, I had to push for relocation as I tried to recover my remaining rent and for other structures I built, things seem to be worse, I had to forfeit almost 100'000 and applied Usain Bolt Style. Akwa Ibom people re too envious of other people's progress or achievement especially against non indigene and too lazy to work but not on women. But for now....

I did not believe in witches and wizard.
Yes but as a TYPICAL Nigerian you probably believe in an un-researched god, religion and helping pastors buy jets - it is more or less the same as this woman!

That was not her mother but rather a familiar spirit.

There is nothing like ghosts.
There is no such thing as "familiar spirit".
That woman is mentally unstable.
