Amina Ali Mkeki, one of the Chibok girls infamously kidnapped by Boko Haram in 2014 has been rescued near Sambisa Forest, government sources and activists have told SaharaReporters.

Amina was found in the Kulakeita area in the company of her Boko Haram husband, and was immediately rescued by vigilantes who handed her over to Nigerian troops in Damboa.

She reportedly told the soldiers that six of the girls have died, while the others have been married off to Boko Haram commanders, and that they were all still in Sambisa Forest as of the time of her rescue.

Our sources say Amina was breastfeeding a baby during her rescue, but it was not immediately clear if the Boko Haram commander caught with her was the father of the baby.

The development, the Nigerian military said in a text message by Col. SK Usman to SaharaReporters that "Falmata Mbalala" was rescued by Nigerian troops. 

SaharaReporters has confirmed that Amina is from Mbalala community, near Chibok.

The rescued girls is currently in transit on her way to Maiduguri the Borno state capital where the state governor is expected to receive her from Nigerian troops.

The Army is doing a great job but I expect Sambisa Forest to be a fallow ground by now as the Army have cut off all supplies to the forest for decades.

Am not of the view that any soul is more important than the other. Nigeria have lost so much in search of Chibok girls.
We lost many soldiers, civilized, property, etc.

More deadlier tactis could have be employed to cut short Boko Haram scourge but having Chibok girls in mind we always go for plan B.

As big as Lagos and i don't mean Ikeja or Ikorodu but Lagos itself, a dry wilderness with no incentives. Filled with buried mines and traps, However if you think its not big enough, i swear i can honestly link you up with the civilian JTF in order for you to do a quick and more efficient job.

But am wondering how true this story is. We have read previously that whenever the captured girls are coming out to fetch firewood, that the Bokos escort them to avoid escape. How come this Amina was alone when the vigilante group found her and her baby? Funny!
