Pls when giving our babies eggs, ensure its the yolk only. I didn't know and gave me DD eggs ( the white plus yolk) three weeks ago and 1 hr later she started vomiting, her eyes were red, big red rashes all over her body and she was itching real bad. We ended up going to the hospital & Dr said it was hives ("Urticaria, also known as hives, is an outbreak of swollen, pale red bumps or plaques (wheals) on the skin that appear suddenly -- either as a result of the body's reaction to certain allergens, or for unknown reasons" )
Anyway, no eggs here till she turns one.

Awww, she's allergic for now but most babies outgrow it by 1 or 2 years old.

@ Chinwendym, as mama feddy said, there are so many brands of cereals, give him varieties, don't restrict him to only cerelac so he doesn't get fed up soon. Nutrend is not sweet so you have to add enough milk to make it sweet. Cow $ gate, heinz, nestle nestum, nutribom, purity etc. But you have to introduce them one after the other. What I do is to give baby different cereal at each feeding so I don't have to repeat one cereal more than once a day.

I don't think that nutrend is tasty oh. I'd recommend cerelac instead.

The wheat and milk combo doesn't quite sound right in my ears. I'd prefer you turn I as normal and give with ewedu. If he likes it fine if not you try something else. Semo and milk seems to be acceptable by many babies these days as seen by testimonies given on this forum.

For more recipes you will just have to type search and narrow down to this thread. Cant remember any specific pages would have shared them.

Some easy combos are semo/amala/wheat with ewedu and Titus fish, mashed potatoes , boiled eggs, indomie with little or no spice. Custard etc etc

Get hot water in a bowl or bucket, carry him then cover both of you with a towel and let him inhale the steam. If you have eucalyptus oil ( you'll get it at a pharmacy) add a few drop to the water or any other balm e.g Robb.
OR
Suck the mucus with you mouth or a bulb syringe if you have one.

Try steam inhalation ie place a bucket of water by your feet hold baby firmly across your laps and cover with a towel so he inhales the steam. Please be careful. Also drop some eucalyptus oil ie olbas or silverbird on a face towel/bib and hang it on his chest so he's inhaling that too. Massage his chest with a heated towel. Put Robb in his feet and let him wear socks

My 2years plus son has re-occuring rashes that affects his head and his nose almost every month.I visited the hospital and Zinnat was prescribed and the doc told me to boost his immune system that his immune system is low and he prescribed immucal which he used.
Now,the rashes are back on his forehead.
Which Mum has ever had this experience and what what did you do differently.
Please mommas,this is causing serious heartache for DH and I,i need serious help.

Please put up a picture of the rash. It'll be easier for someone with the experience to assist.

Then if Dr is concerned about his immune system we have to work on his diet and perhaps add multivitamins to his daily intake.

Does he eat well? What kind of meals do you give him? Fruits vegetables? Does he accept it well? Who makes his meals? What are his sleeping and school environment like?

Do share more details please.

I've read the last 4pages to brush up the latest and I've learnt few though I am looking for how to solve 'inu iwo' in new born baby.

Concerning food matter, we're told at clinic not to give our babies and toddlers Peak 123 as it contains lots of sugar per tin which causes diabetes in children. They recommended Nan as one of the best for 9ja babies, SMA, Frisolac, Nutriend... but My Boy isn't of good quality but people buy it because it's cheap. Cerealac is recommended for us and it doesn't require milk because the right quantity is added. Also they said Golden Morn is for children from age 3 up but we make the mistake of giving the under 3.

Baby March is just 8weeks so I can't introduce all the food discussed. I'm running a course by July or October so he'll start daycare by then and can introduce some food while I'm gone

Dear Mamas, my ds will be 4 months in 2 days time. I got him Nan when he was 3 months but he wont take it. He wont even take water either bottle fed or spoon fed. He takes bm alone. Wanna start him on pap, don't know if its advisable or if he'll take it.

You have to take it one day at a time.
Put a little in the bottle so that if he doesnt eat it it wont pain you.
Feed him when he is calmest but most likely to be hungry.......just when he is waking up from sleep.
Dont give up after a couple of times....keep trying until one tin is finished.
What if you worked? Wont he eat ni?
Or drop him with someone you trust for a whole day and let them feed him.
There is no assurance that he will eat the pap o.

Id suggest reducing to twice daily morning and evening..milo is quite sugary I'm hoping you don't put in additional sugar?

Dunno about the because he is a man meme buy I have heard too..we can only choose staying safe than being sorry. So lets reduce the frequency
