Threats and statements by Buhari of 'Crushing' them and calling them terrorists will not help the situation. The communities where they operate are very bitter with the FG and the fact Northerners and Westerners control 90% of the sector while the suffer the effects of pollution and will not provide information to the Nigerian military about the militants. The Igbo word 'adola ogu' which the English people call Dialogue is the solution for now. |

Those foreign powers that enjoy Nigeria's oil while Nigerians suffer, those foreign powers are now believed to have co-sponsored Boko Haram with some people from northern Nigeria to return power to the north of Nigeria. Whenever a northerner is in power, foreign powers that control oil in Nigeria take crude oil away and pay kobo kobo royalty to Nigeria. Those foreign powers could not pay Kobo Kobo for oil if a president of Nigeria is from the south. When one listens to the media of foreign powers, the way their media propagate falsehood about Boko Haram, Chibok girls kidnap, about Nigeria, one concludes that Boko Haram was co-sponsored by foreign powers and northern Nigeria to grab Nigeria's apex political power . |

YourFatherYansh:The fundamental question is where is Buhari's maturity in all of this madness? Why is he behaving like a kid? Soldiers have occupied Gbaramotu when they are needed more in Agatu against the 'Libyan' herdsmen. There's so much injustice & imbalance in this country. Until these issues are addressed, there will be no peace. |

Legitbaba:Who sold mainly care about the oil money if not those housing the resource? I think a better argument is majority of the oil in aks is offshore, and they can hardly disrupt production there. And as such they are taken for a ride. If any militant attack that happens in aks, there is a high probability it has external influence to it. I think government and iocs aren't proactive enough and this would be a bane to Nigerian oil and gas industry. We let our normal bigotry, tribalism, and partisanship to affect the industry and this is a time bomb waiting to explode. |

Goke7:Rubbish! Federal government built Lagos decades ago. Collecting taxes and rate from Lagosians is not a rocket science. FGN built 2 biggest airports in Nigeria in Lagos, 3 sea ports, every govt agency and ministry headquarters, 6 multi billion naira bridges, most of the highways, national stadiums, national theaters, headquarters of oil and gas companies, cities like Ikoyi, Ikeja, V. Island, industrial estates, housing estates, embassies, major industries, major hotels, even connected it with a gas pipeline etc. What state will have all those and fail to collect the tax? |

Beadex1:I can assure you that the people bombing these pipelines and throwing the nation into darkness are not from those suffering communities. And you know what?... just like before, when these miscreants are EVENTUALLY paid, they would squander the moneys in wild living while the real indigenes of the suffering communities would still remain in their penury. We still have fresh examples like the Asaris and Tompolos and the Atekes who have made billions but have not in any substantial way given back to the real communities that suffer the direct brunt of oil exploration/production. By the way, what I referred to as ignorant was the 85% figure which you gave as yoruba and hausa being the biggest gainers from the oil industries, nothing could be more ignorant. First of all, if you have ever walked into the office of an oil company like exxonmobil at eket, you will realise that at least 80% of the employees, both the high and low level staff, contractors, contractor staff, even the cooks, cleaners, security men etc etc are from akwa Ibom. There is no doubt that we have some other tribes in the company which includes yorubas and igbos and other niger delta tribes. It is a similar scenario when you walk into many other oil companies, as a matter of fact, it is only in nnpc I have really seen northerners so I wonder where that your 85% figure came from. |

amuokuko:It a natural law of sowing and reaping. There will be no 3rd world war starting from Nigeria, only prolem for FG. The militants are like virus in a system. The only way to remove a virus from a system is to install anti-virus. This is where PMB is failing. Instead of him to install anti-virus, he keep adding more virus to the system. |

ovieigho:When you cut down the tap root of a tree, it takes a couple of days at least before the leaves begin to wither. Nigeria was producing up to 1.8million barrels per day but all those price hikes and dowturns you pointed out were happening because of the low oil prices. Now oil production is almost getting to below 1million barrels per day and the prices are still low. If you think you were complaining before, just be patient, the real problem is coming soon. We can all cool off by insulting buhari though, someone just has to be blamed init? |

obailala:well maybe not in the exon mobil i know of which is situated at Eket . This new avengers are not like other hungry militants . what the required from the federal government is to retrieve license from the 90 percent northerners that owns oil blocks in their region and implement true federalism. What we have now is unfair and unacceptable it has not happened any where before for pete sake.....enough is enough |

36STATES:So its only Lagos state that has federal government infrastructure abi? if those infrastructures you mentioned were all blown up like its happening in the Niger delta, will Lagos be like what it is today? last time i checked, the revenue generated from the federal agencies in Lagos goes to the federation account and be informed only places like the island and yaba were controlled by the Federal Govt then, others were under the then western region which metamorphosed into Lagos state. Like I said earlier states like delta, rivers and akwa ibom should be giving lagos a run for their money, delta alone has two airports and a sea port, rivers have airport and sea port too and akwa ibom should also be rubbing shoulders as the state with the highest earnings from oil if they are not lazy like the bayelsa governor said. let's get rid of our inferiority complex to Lagos and work harder, life is not all about oil. |

obailala:Oga forget masses are used to the hardship from time immemorial, at least we chop akara and pap and we don't complain anymore, we know who will complain more in this situation ,when they can't fly private jet freely again, when their mistresses can't get enof for now then it hit them, 80% of oil blocks are own by northerners..... |
