youmour:
In Ghana almost all telecom companies run on 4G.
Glo
Surfline
Busy internet
MTN
Vodafone

Naija is a joke if this is just getting to us in 2016.
Oga! I lived in Accra for 3 years. Stop tearing bread for guys.

Glo Ghana don't got no 4G
Surfline are the main 4G LTE guys
Busy Internet is piggybacking off Vodafone
MTN Ghana don't got 4G
Vodafone GH don't got 4G readily available to SIM Cards, only fixed broadband and Vodafone maxes out at 20Mbps btw.

Naija has Ntel now readily providing 4G Enabled sim cards that work out-of-the-box. I can safely say we are ahead of Ghana in terms of Internet. Go and try MainOne fibre Optics. Anyways, yeah!

4G LTE has download speed of 300mb/s . 3G has download speed of 42mb/s.
With our current 3G, I'm sure nobody ever got download speed of up to 10mb/s. So let's hope this 4G thingy gives us at least the normal speed of 3G in other countries. Not 4G that will be giving 200kb/s .
Mbps and MBps are different, you know this yes?
8Mbps = 1MBps
Mb = Megabits
MB = MegaBytes

Anyways, 4G LTE doesn't have speeds up to 300Mbps, that's not correct. 4G LTE-A (Advanced) has speeds up to that. And of course, we talking theoretical speeds.

Theoretical Speed (Average Real World Speed) - Mbps
3G = 7.2 (3)
3.5G/HSPA+ = 42 (6)
4G LTE = 150 (20)
4G LTE-A = 300 (42)

The numbers in brackets are the average speeds you should expect, realistically. But yes, it can go as fast as the theoretical speed. It just always doesn't due to many conditions... location, isp, cell tower, base station, traffic, government blah blah blah

And on 3.5G HSPA using etisalat, yes i have seen above 10Mbps. I normally get 2.5MB/s download speed which is around 20Mbps (just about half of the theoretical limit, as theoretically it can go up to 5.25MB/s)

And also it applies for Kb and KB too. 200Kb/s = 25KB/s

This is getting too long, i hope i made my point smiley

I saw this. But then I grabbed something from your explanation.

I don't really understand what you mean mate. However, from the picture u posted... I can see Theoretical speeds for 3G+ (HSPA) and 4G+ (LTE-A).

Tho theoretical upload speed for LTE-A is 150 and LTE is 50

There is no + attached to the 3G and no A attached to the LTE neither is there any + attached to the 4G.
So what I know is that LTE has a download speed of 300mbps.

They haven't gone live. MTN NG is going 4G Live soon. They must have also 'deployed' infrastructure. Don't mean it's working yet tho.

Smile is working, Swift is working, Spectranet is working, Ntel is working and readily available for a specific region now. U dig?

HSPA is the +
Cat 6 is the +

3G < HSPA (3G+)
LTE < LTE Cat6. (LTE-A)

Cat 4 is 150/50
Cat 6 is 300/150

Google 'LTE Cat6'. That is what shows up. Below.
