[s]My brother, I know you regret voting this tyrant. It's a pity, Buhari will plunge this country further down into abysmal failure.

[s]Buhari, You were forming Josef Stalin and 'new sheriff' before, right?... You think everything is resolved through the barrel of a gun, I know you're an illiterate, let me educate you; There's something called 'Diplomacy' in handling issues of this kind. Come down from your high horse (donkey), eat the humble pie (gworo) and quit being a dullard.

You call a set of people 5%,You referred to freedom fighters as terrorists, compared them to Bokoharam, and you expect them to be shining their teeth like sycophantic zombified citizens. Buhari, You have bitten more than you can chew.[/s]
Another very very useless comment from terrorist supporter. I pray you don't run mad one day over Buhari.

I once said amnesty is just not the way, back then, it would only take one short sighted not to have foresaw that another set of militants would spring up after that of 2009,despite amnesty. Best is make the wealth equally distributed, develop the regions found in that locality, grant employment to those ready to work and not those who feel it's our oil and hence, free money when they sit up lazy. If amnesty is granted these chaps, what's the probability that another set wouldn't rise tomorrow to demand theirs? Equal distribution of wealth to Niger deltans, employment, social care, facilities, improved infrastructures and others are some of the things so needed to make ND a much desired region not the enrichment of some few at the detriment of others that chose not to carry guns.

How exactly is Buhari putting them in their place? Nigeria has lost almost 1 million barrel of oil already and you are here ranting!!
Isn't that their objective? To blackmail the government into giving in by disrupting oil production?

You think getting their way would be as easy as cowardly throwing a few sticks of dynamite at defenseless pipelines? You are all jokers.

This government CANNOT be blackmailed, let that sink into your thick skull.

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday, urged militants in the Niger Delta to drop their confrontational stance and work with his government to review the Amnesty Programme initiated by the Late ex-President Umaru Yar’Adua Administration.

President Buhari assured oil companies operating in the Niger Delta that the Federal Government is taking all necessary actions to protect strategic assets in the region from vandals and criminals.
Speaking at a meeting with the Global Director (Upstream) of the Royal Dutch Shell Group, Andrew Brown, President Buhari said that he had directed the Chief of Naval Staff to reorganise and strengthen the military Joint Task Force (JTF) in the Niger Delta to deal effectively with the resurgence of militancy and the sabotage of oil installations.

The President told Mr. Brown that the operations of the JTF were also being enhanced with increased support and cooperation from the United States and Europe in the areas of training, intelligence, equipment and logistics. He said: “We have to be very serious with the situation in the Niger Delta because it threatens the national economy.
I assure you that everything possible will be done to protect personnel and oil assets in the region.”

The president urged aggrieved persons, militants and communities in the Niger Delta to drop their confrontational stance and work with those who have been charged by the Federal Government to review the Amnesty Programme initiated by the Yar’Adua Administration for the benefit of all parties. President Buhari praised the resilience and staying power of Shell in Nigeria despite the operational challenges of the environment .

He urged the company to do its best to end gas flaring in the Niger Delta quickly and produce more gas for electricity generation to support manufacturing and job creation in the country. Mr. Brown had appealed for an urgent solution to rising crime and militancy in the Niger Delta. The Shell Executive also dispelled speculations that the company was pulling out of Nigeria. He said that contrary to such speculations, Shell was currently in discussions with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on new joint oil and gas projects.

The challenge with democracy in Nigeria is enormous. GEJ was too civilian in approach making his Government failed several tests on security, corruption, infrastructure etc. Came the voice of change. Entered PMB. He is adopting a too military approach that is failing his Government in economy, foreign policy, internal security, electoral reforms, democratic ethos of dialogue, rule of law, and ultimately the change mantra. Hitherto, OBJ was drafted from prison to the seat but he was both too military and civilian and rather than set the tone for good governance, he encouraged corruption (remember Ghana must go syndrome, PHCN, Halliburton, Siemens), impunity in both high and low places, political assassination, illegal tenure elongation project etc. What would have been our best spell was somewhat naturally truncated when we lost a gem in Yaradua. He was a democrat personified. The only leader that opened and left his assets to public scrutiny. His children were not schooling abroad. He did not disobey court rulings, he didn't interfere in INEC matters, he crushed terrorism when it reared its ugly heads. He didn't overtly or covertly encouraged herdsmen destruction activities, he won over Niger Delta militancy using dialogue, carrot and stick options He considered petrol an essential comodity and reduced its price making it affordable for the masses... the list goes on. I hope today's leaders and future ones can borrow a leaf from this man - Nigeria will be better again!

This man is becoming more mumuful everyday. He doesn't know the boys have gone pass amnesty issue. They want Resource Control, Restructuring of the country and implementation of the CONFAB 2014 reports.

Or better still grant them the option of referendum. And he's talking of amnesty. Nonsence.
how come they didn' t ask for that last year or a couple of years ago? hipocrites

I don't think any politician is behind them. The main person that is behind the militants is non other person than Tompolo. The man thinks he is smart whereas he is not. The FG are just taking their time, new strategies are playing out behind the board. Watch and see
You comments are the only reasonable comment here, others are commenting as kids or just sentimental without any rational thinking.

If you cant attend to all their demands, at least pick 4 that will be easy to implement. Most of the groups demand are not that rigid except for the one which calls for the disintegration of Nigeria(which i dont support) aside that the rest are negotiable.

Buhari should invite these boys for peace talk before their 7days ultimatum expires if not na to port go ghana or abidjan sure pass ooo
Please what are their demands?

Funny. Well when the military start dealing with these militants, I just hope people won't scream genocide. Besides there are so many ways the federal government can deal with people sabotaging their efforts. Many people are so ignorant of what the military/FG are capable of doing. The militants think they are invincible and their sympathizers are cheering them up. When the story changes, some people shouldn't say we didn't warn them
i dont blame the whites when they think us subhuman because many negroes lack reasoning capacity.
So in ur mind the only solution is genocide for the owners of the resources.no wonder robbers kill people for their properties.
Zoo country,uk is deceiving the zoo while listening to Scotland.
