damola311: for how long does government needs to dialog with these hypocrites? why they didn't do this during GEJ? They rather have corruption continue where few people will benefit ( either from the north or south) while the masses are left with no basic infrastructure. That's why i say these people are just politician who are not happy that things are changing for the better; lawlessness in the creeks is no longer accepted and the days of easy money are no longer there for them thats why the doing this sabotage. 1 Like 1 Share |

I would have been sympathetic to the cause of the Niger-Delta Avengers if they were genuine and sincere! They had almost 6 years to champion their cause under GEJ but instead allowed their representatives to amass huge amount of money with little to no development to the Niger-Delta.These fools believe that they can hold this administration ransom just like they did under GEJ but they've got another thing coming! The average Niger-Deltan cannot afford food or clean water but Tompolo and other leaders in that area are swimming in wealth, who holds them accountable? It's easy to blame Northerners and Buhari and forget about the evil right in front of you, it's so easy! 4 Likes 2 Shares |

damola311: Exactly, they were both big fools! They negotiated with them but had no oversight over the success of the program. Their leaders kept getting richer and fatter while the average militant or Niger-Deltan kept getting poorer. There were no developments in the land, no visible difference in the lives of the common citizen. You want to negotiate with terrorist, then we should have negotiated with Boko Haram, MEND and any other future groups which threatens our economy, keep negotiating until the debt becomes unbearable! 1 Like |

mile12crises: What shitload of nonsense are you talking about? For the past two or three decades it has always been the same - that the Niger Deltans think their land is being destroyed and that they have nothing to show for it, while they remain the proverbial Goose that supports the nation economically. The truth is far from that. Niger Deltans are lazy, thieves and drunks. Billions upon billions of Dollars have been sunk into the area and the people but the outcome always remains the same. The money is stolen, wholescale, by the likes of NIMASA, Alams, Tompolo and other warlords. The situation did not even change with their own GEJ as the vice president or president. With him, even more money was stolen and siphoned into the accounts of absolutely useless militants that have never had the real, poor populace of the Niger Delta at heart. No resources were built - no hospitals, no schools, no airports, no roads or bridges... nothing of a lasting legacy. Instead of sinking money into existing institutions and schools so that the local population benefit, they wasted billions sending clueless people to study abroad in mostly non-English speaking countries!! Niger Deltans seem to be completely ignorant of current world affairs. This is not only because they still think that wearing embarrassing vestiges of colonialism is a fashion statement. The oil that they crave so much is becoming less and less of importance. That is exactly why Nigeria is in a shitty mess right now. A barrel of oil is now less than $40!!!!! Further, amongst other things, with hybrid and electricity vehicle technology improving year by year, things are going to become even worse. The West is desperate to become less dependent on oil! Niger Deltans are not farmers - Northerners are. Niger Deltans are not THAT educated - Yorubas are. Niger Deltans are not as industrious as the Igbos. Yet, they think that separation from the North and West will be to their advantage, because of oil that is running out or becoming cheaper and cheaper every year. Generally speaking, oil has been nothing but a curse to Nigeria. It is more or less the reason why some Nigerians send their children to Ghana to study! The sooner we run out of oil and get our heads out of our stinking arses, the better. Then, perhaps, the penny will drop and we start the real process towards nationhood. Niger Deltans: Buhari is the least of your problems. You will always be your own worst enemies. May whichever God you worship and that bowler hat that you love eventually show you the way, amen! 1 Like |

Buhari is a black market president and a former military president without any foundation or ideals since 1985 to affect positively Nigeria than to instigate his constituency to mule and silent his 5% enemies. Thank God for time, time and time, Mr non certificateless president,3years to go,Nigeria shall do the needful. |

Kenturkey048: Oh yea so that gives them the right to destroy things? I guess in the future when one group of people feel aggrieved they can just go to any pipeline, government facility or asset and blow it up! In a sane society, once you blow up anything or damage government or private property you are labeled as a terrorist and dealt with accordingly, let's remove sentiments from our thinking please! |

Those militants should take their anger to the country home of Jonathan in Otuoke. He spent six years as President without doing anything or enough for the Niger Delta. |
