Thanks.
what I gathered so far about inu iwo is that it takes up to one month for a baby girl, 3months for a baby boy to settle. it's as a result of the lungs and intestine that want to position. I can massage the tummy with warm water or press the abdomen down, the baby will relax and pass gas. This is to help those looking for tips also

Go for family planning except you're good in withdrawal method. Ovulation comes before menstruation so once ovulation occurs pregnancy can stay

Yes it's very possible to get pregnant though some people may not see their menses till even up to one year. If you are in doubt or you suspect you cud be pregnant, just buy pregnancy strip and do a test.

As other mamas have said..... Yes it is very possible to get pregnant soon after giving birth. Infact with all the hormones still swimming around in your system even if you are breastfeeding you are probably at your most fertile period of your life. So dont assume breastfeeding = license to shag without concequence.

As there is no general rule on when your period will return after birth some people na 28 days like clockwork, some 3 months, some up to a year and some for as long as they are breastfeeding even upto 2 years.

Also each postpartum period is different do if na one year holiday your period take for first baby, it can decide to appear 1 month after the next baby.

If you are not ready for another baby, you need to take precaution. Use condoms until you decide which other option, pill , coil, or alternative works for you. Go see your nearest family planning clinic for advise.

In the meantime: do a pregnancy test just so you know and reduce your anxiety level.

Good luck!

From one year old, a baby can take adult (cow) milk.

I read somewhere recently that babies below one can now take egg including the white part based on a recent research. How true is this?

It depends on the country. Europe is more accepting of these things than the U.S. so they are fine with babies eating the entire egg from 6 months. The reason that they used to recommend only the yolk was that the egg white sometimes caused an allergic reaction in some babies. But they realised that telling parents to wait to give eggwhite didn't matter because a child who eould react would react at any age. Personally, we've been eating the entire egg from about 8 months and all's been well. It's the same with things like meat and cheese as well (U.S. paeds will tell you wait till 8 months, U.K. peads will say it's fine from 6 months). But the best judge of the matter is the child: is he/she reacting to it? If not, all good. More importantly, that egg should be thoroughly cooked. HTH

If you are in lagos i may know someone who has one she is no longer using. Let me ask if she still has it and if she wants to sell.

But i have to add the following:

Please, Please, Please be careful about used car seats as you can sometimes not guarantee how it has been previously used. For instance if it has been in an accident before it is more or less useless and should have been discarded and not be sold on. But one is not able to see any damage on these things sometimes by quickly looking at them.

Car seats are one of the few baby things that are advisable to buy new but i can understand that with twins and all cost can go up pretty quickly so if you can get a good and reliable source, by all means go a head, and get a used one but remember that the reason for a car seat is to safely carry a child in a vehicle.

So shine your eye and use microscope to inspect any that you are interested in well well, bear in mind the following:

●ask about the previous usage history especially if it has been in an accident before. Any accident! from ocada rider to trailer bashing! Even it being tumbled down a flight of stairs ( without a child in it i hope! ) In my opinion it is better to buy a pre-used carseat from the previous owner rather than a second hand shop as you will get more information as to how it was used.

●Check the manufacurers details, and google them for reviews before you go and inspect it.

●ask for the manual, this will ensure you can install it properly in the car, or how to remove the cover for washing etc. Although most good brands will have youtube how-tos online but a physical manual is still good.

●Check for any obvious signs of wear and tear - kindly ask them to remove the cover and check all the belts , clasps, fixings etc.

●Go preferably for the european or american brands or those made for those markets.... as the EU and US safety standards and test methods are by far better and more rigorous than the chinese for example. ( check the labels and stamps to see what test standards they use, it should be a number with either an EN or ASTM Prefix for EU or US products respectively.)

●Take a responsible other person with you to help you check it thoroughly.

●TAKE YOUR TIME and inspect it well.

Good luck

Personally I avoid anything that comes with hormones. Complications are just too messy ranging from increase in weight, hypertension to cancers. So, I always go for the non-hormonal type of Iucd. It comes with its own issues but at least your chemistry is safe. I am currently using one now for almost 4 years.

hehehe, kinda reminds me of how I got pregnant for my second child even without seeing my period. Play it safe, get one of the contraceptives. Personally, I wait for about a month for my body to settle after child both and then I visit my doctor to insert an iucd. Did it after my second child. Removed it 3 years later and got pregnant in a month. Gave birth to the third one and reinserted. It is still in me for almost 4 years. Planning to remove it soon since we are planning for another baby.
