According to channelsTV breaking news, they suspended after a meeting today to review the strike action.

Details soon

The Ayuba Wabba faction of the Nigeria Labour Congress has suspended an industrial action called to resist the new price of petrol.

The leader of the union announced the suspension on Sunday.

It came after an emergency meeting of its organs – the National Working Committee and the National Executive Committee.

At the meeting, talks were focused on the strike and the way forward.

Pump price of petrol was increase from 86.50 Naira to 145 Naira by the Federal Government on May 11.

The 67.6 per cent increase had angered the labour union, with the union saying it was insensitive.

Details to come.

The people who insulted GEJ for the factionalisation of Governors' Forum are hailing as this admin has factionalised NLC.

Those who support the crushing of the opposition, Labour Unions and intimidation of the press will one day need these institutions.

Who will love my country, Nigeria? undecided

There is a need for NLC to unite for future struggles.
Re: Wabba Led NLC Suspends Strike by Nobody: 7:28pm On May 22, 2016
It was a desultory strike with no effect whatsoever. NLC had to save face by calling it off. They should negotiate for an increase in the minimum wage to keep pace with inflation.

Oh. It is now that Ayuba Wabba's NLC faction has suspend the strike, back-door negotiation as been made, Ayuba's godfather Gov. Adams Oshiomole as being given the paychecks.

I dont know the reason Labour members will protest for this people, in the end they wont achieve the reasons they were protesting for.

NLC is politically driven especially the Ayuba Wabba-led faction, I am gladful and full contend as other civil societies e.g. TUC etc, didnt engage in the fruitless industrial strike.
